Hi if buying from u.s. example cuttlebug folder $6, would that be about £3 in our money and is there a limit on what you can buy to avoid charges

you can buy upto £18 and http://www.xe.com/ucc/ you can use this to convert $ into £

I forgot about gift items but if a retailer marks it as a gift they can get in alot of hot water if its found not to be

yes this is true, in the US its an imprisonable offence to defraud the customs :(
how do you know about the 100 pound thing?
its a bit silly really, I regularly buy downloads from the US via paypal and of course those aren't monitiored!
