Help needed please with alcohol inks

I'm hoping that someone can help with a problem I just can't seem to solve!! I've done some alcohol inking on a glass vase and it looked fab but my problem is that when I wash it the AI seems to come off! How can I seal the AI so I can wash the vase? I've tried using marine varnish but it seems to dissolve/smudge the alcohol inks, I've also tried using a spray varnish (Plastikote fast dry enamel in clear) and it makes the AI's sort of run down & blur. I just don't know what else to try!

An acrylic varnish might work. I did spray something ages ago which worked ok but I can't remember what it was :thinking:

Try leaving the AI a long time to dry - probably about 2/3 days. I have done this and had no problems.
