Oh dear sorry that royal mail bent it and it looks like it was in a humid place as the insert paper has lifted and crumpled, and it was fine for the 3 days I had it sitting on the side:( same as a package that arrive for my daughter from ebay it was soaked right through and the jiffy bag was just about holding together it had only come a short way and we had no rain for days
Must admit to this card being a bit of a cheat, Marzipan sent me the stamped image which I photo copied on to the rainbow card I had printed off, I knew if I worked on the original I would mess it up big time:rolleyes:
By daugher said mum why have you done a wintery card with a blossom tree in the middle , the glitter glue had taken the pink dye out of the base card and it made it look like cherry blossom instead of snow Oops:o

Beautiful card LJ, I wouldn't worry about the "pink frost", it looks lovely - just tell your daughter that she needs to get up earlier and see what colour frost REALLY is on a late autumn morning when it's reflecting the colour of a red sunrise :D

Here is my beautiful card from Phree - I've tried to pick this up on the pic, but she's used glossy accents to simulate brush strokes across the image :)

I almost forgot to ask - are these papers from the JS Pamela West CD?
Phree
12-12-2008, 04:48 PM
Yes, it is from Pamela West - an under-rated JS CD IMO - I think it was launched too soon after the JNM one and has remained in the shadow of the spectacular success of the JNM one - a shame. IMO it's probably not quite as good as JNM, but it has some absolutly lovely things on it and yet I don't seem to hear much fuss being made about it at all (fuss in a nice way that is).
Now what welly had kindly not told anyone is .. the glue holding down the central image is coming adrift - I think Welly may have fixed that for me......however I it would be useful to know if anyone else has had problems.
I used Collall Photo Glue and made a sort of frame all round the edge of the image then swirled the tube randomly over the back inside my "frame of glue" so there should have been pretty good adhesion all over the image.
Once that was set and I had rubbed away the excess glue that had squidged out of the sides onto the gold matting layer I painted on the Glossy Accents....but they are only painted in the area of the central oval - not round the sides. The did cause some lifting and wrinkling of the image in the center where the Glossy Accents had been painted, but once it was dry everything seemed to have settled back down flat again and there was certainly never any sign of the edges lifting even when the GA was wet.
Has anyone else had any problems like this with the Collall glue? I am wondering if the problem is with the gold mirror card - it's from a pack I had bought at the SECC back in March and had not opened until now.
