View Full Version : Diipping my Toe in the Scrapbooking Sea
I've been thinking about scrapbooking for a while - and finally this week put some glue to paper and made my first scrapbook page!!
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lQ5CLSZGgjw/Tka3spW0T1I/AAAAAAAAC7w/luRVr_CrMUk/s400/DSC02311.JPG
It's of a very special photo of my grandparents (the only one I have of them together) who were very special people.
The patterned papers are from a floral collection by Anna Griffin that I bought from QVC. The rose embellishments were cut from another paper from the same collection.
It was a lot of fun and I'm plotting out my next page already. More details on my blog (http://scrappysoo.blogspot.com/2011/08/my-first-scrapbook-page.html)as usual! :)

I heartily recommend it!
CMazza was who inspired me to get started - she has some lovely pages on her blog (http://clairem79.blogspot.com/). And there are lots of scrapbook bloggers out there catering to tons of different styles and formats. I'm thinking of a mini family scrapbook for my niece when she starts university in the autumn....

What a beautiful first attempt! The papers and the photo are pefect together. Yes, scrapbooking can be very addictive! But at least you get to keep what you've made! I've just got into making mini scrapbooks and I'm hooked.

Oh yes, you can be proud of that Soo! Once you get started, it does become an addiction and the results are YOURS...until you get on to making scrapbooks for others...:mysmilie_506: then it is a real labour of love.
