Need to make a pint of beer card this week that I'd forgotten about.
Firstly, does anyone know of a FREE template I can download for the pint glass?
Secondly, I want to put a frothy head on the pint. What do I use, liquid applique or puff paint or are they the same? What colour would you do the froth and where can I buy it from online that delivers quickly?
I know thats a lot of questions but I know you peeps will know the answers!!;)
Thanks
Hi Jeanette, don't know the answer to the beer glass, but do have a suggestion for the froth (with thanks to the Sakura lady on CAC) - she covers the area with a quicky glue pen then dabs on torn up cotton wool. It's important that you dab the cotton wool as the idea is to leave behind a lot of fluff. She used it on a sheep. It my not be the effect you are after but I thought you might want to try on a scrap of card as the materials for this effect are close to hand and it may avoid you needing to invest in applique or puff paint!

I have got a lovely stamp Jeanette. I could stamp an image out for you if you would like.
I used white liquid applique for the froth. I think I still have it so I could pop some of that on for you too.

Thanks for your very kind offer Lynne. I actually have that stamp and have used it for the person before. I thought this time I would actually make a pint shaped card. I love your card BTW!

Thanks Jeanette. It's a great stamp for those awkward men!

Thanks Jeanette. It's a great stamp for those awkward men!
Shouldn't that just be 'men' - they all tend to be awkward at some point :D
Jeanette, Wendy Stenton does a beer glass template for pop out - but I only have the A6 sized one which would be too small to make a decent card I'm afraid :(
Has anyone on here got the A5 one they could wack out a template for Jeanette with?

I thought I was going to be able to help you, as I normally get my free templates from www.mirkwood designs but they don't have a beer glass one:(
does it have to be a beer glass I do think we tend to go for beer and sports for mens cards, maybe something totally diff would make a nice change such as an animal card.

I have a mug tempate I downloaded from here
http://www.timeforcrafting.co.uk/coffee_mug_shaker.html
It could be made into a beer mug. The size the template makes fits into a 6inch square envelope, but could be made bigger.

You could stamp out the beer mug, scan it and increase the size that way

Good thinking purdycraft. I know someone else who had exactly the same idea as you :D
