Tis the season for warm winter woolies, hot chocolate and the click clack of knitting needles.

My daughters both want one so I'd better get started:

Look out for many more crafts coming in the new year.

Blimey Sharon how many hours do you have in your day :o

what a huge talent you have.let us see the finished products . I'm in awe of anyone who can do anything with knitting needles. I can sew anything but knitting has me beaten lol

Nice to see someone championing the "old fashioned" crafts Sharon, although I understand that knitting is quite trendy nowadays! My Mam and Nana used to knit all of our woolies, they could do plain and purl without watching so used to knit every evening when watching the telly. Also my Mam told me how to crochet, which I prefer, but you have to watch what you're doing with crochet.
Anyway I hope your daughters enjoy the lovely outfits you're making for their dolls!

My Granny taught me how to knit many many many years ago and I was totally smitten with it, knitted all my childrens baby clothes, etc.

Remember the year of the Teletubby shortage?

My wee Rosie so desperately wanted one but they were not available anywhere so I used a 'jelly baby' knitting pattern and adapted it to make a red Teletubby, I also designed and knitted her a sweater to match.

Once my friends found out I ended up making 5 sets of toys and sweaters for their children that Christmas.

I cant crochet for the life of me, my granny tried to teach me and I've tried to teach myself every year since but I JUST CANT DO IT:mad:

I wont be beaten though and one of these years I might just crack it.

Will proudly show off my first doily if and when it happens, watch this space but please dont hold your breath:)
