I am enjoying iris folding at the moment and wondered if anyone knew the reason IW C&C don't show it any more. Has it gone out of favour, are people fed up with it? There are only a few items on the IW website.

I too enjoy iris folding. I've taken some on holiday to do before now. Doesn't take up much room - a few cards, strips already cut to length and sticky tape. It was featured a lot in A&B's days once they left it was rarely shown. You don't see it in craft mag now either.

I make iris folding cards in school at Christmas and Easter - the children love it and it's possible to get very good results. There are free templates available online if you just Google something like 'free iris folding templates'.

I do download templates and am considering making my own at some point, after catching up with some Decopatch. Are there enough hours in the day?!

def not LIAM - I think Iris folding is one of those things that drops in and out of crafty fashion but if you like it it will always look good, there used to be a lovely lady who did it on C&C!

I think decopatch will be the next big thing as I noticed crafting.co.uk selling kits and if Stephanie wants them sold she'll get them sold no doubt on C&C such is their cosy relationship! Sorry got a bit ranty there, I like decopatch though!

Iris folding was my first crafting experience and I love the feeing you get when you turn the finished card over and it all looks so neat. It has gone out of fashion; possibly C&C don't feature it now because you don't have to buy lots of expensive stuff to do it!

I'm sure aperture cards with accompanying stencils would sell without paper strips. Agree elcee that it is an inexpensive craft.

I love iris folding too, i miss it on C&C, would love to see it return, but then they don't seem to want to give us any traditional paper crafting shows any more.....
