View Full Version : Word of mouth

I told this story by PM to janiceb966 earlier but thought I'd share with all.

Last week a lady in a queue in a Hobbycraft store (no idea where) was talking to her friend about the lack of Sizzix dies they had in stock when another lady in the queue behind tells her about this fab website (us ). She couldn't remember the web address but for some reason had our number on her mobile. First lady calls us and it turns out we had a old out of production die that she desperately wanted, result! We do like word of mouth recommendations

That's a lovely story, Rich. You certainly have an excellent and well-deserved reputation on here which, after all, is based on word of mouth.

Same here, recommended you more than once to crafting friends or to someone I've struck up conversation with.

Thanks guys, I wasn't fishing for compliments, I just thought it was a funny story, getting a sale from a conversation between two complete strangers in, of all places Hobbycraft! Thank you so much for pointing potential customers at us though, these are tough times so it all helps.

I do think that all the compliments are well deserved Rich, time and again I see you and Susan being more than helpful on this board and no doubt on others too.

As a follow on from your story I do think it's remarkable how friendly crafters are with each other - when I'm in local non-craft shops I very rarely speak to any other customer but I've had some wonderful conversations with other crafters at the SECC all based on looking at the same item or just literally bumping into each other.

I know I've thanked you privately for your help and left feedback for you but I would also like to thank you on here too - the service you provide is outstanding :mysmilie_508:

Rich, I think you and Susan are great. however, I do have one complaint. Father Christmas has been and gone, please remove him from your website:mysmilie_503::happy:
Seriously though, you do deserve all the praise. It's great to have such good service - thank you:up::sun:

Sam, you're quite right, tried to get it changed last week, not sure what the hold up is but it should be back to normal by Monday (crosses fingers!).

I'm another who always sings your praises to crafting friends and other crafters at crafting events. There was one occasion when one of my crafting friends was looking for a retired sizzix original circles die and I found it on your site and sent her a link for it. She was over the moon. Will always pass on your details to fellow crafters as you offer such a brilliant service. Congratulations on being so good.

I have been a fan since before he joined us here, even though he is not far away I was amazed by the speedy service, and nothing is too much trouble. He would be my first stop for all my crafty bits if he stocked it all.

And you are without doubt my number one favourite customer

With regards to stocking it all we have recently got a whole load of stuff in that we haven't had before. It'll take a bit of time to get it all added to the website so keep an eye out for new goodies

Hi Michaela, welcome to the forum. They are a lovely friendly bunch on here I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

We've got a huge range of die cutting machines, dies and accessories on the website but if there's anything specific you want it's always worth contacting us as not all out stock is shown on the website and sometimes we can get specific items in.
