I wasn't sure where to post this.

An organisation I'm involved with is organising a carnival ball to raise funds and we have been asked to make masks for anyone who may turn up without a fancy dress costume.

They are looking to charge £1-£5 per mask and we will need male and female versions.

I have never made anything like this before so would appreciate any help available.

Thanks

Two ways to go really.

You can buy cheap ready made masks from party shops or online, then decorate them with feathers, jewels, sequins and glitter.

Failing that they are very easy to cut and make yourself from scratch. I know I have some links to templates somewhere, will find them for you later.

This site is great for decorating inspiration.

Me again

Never bought from this site but might be a starting point.

They do reasonable priced plain stick masks and even some of the decorated ones seem cheap enough !!

Would Debbie Moore's Venetian Masks CD help. I haven't got it so I don't know if it's appropriate but someone on here may know. It's at http://www.debbimoore.co.uk/prodpage.asp?ProdID=1760

Hobbycraft sell some masks too but not sure of the price. Find them on their site under "mache"

I can't offer any help Lioness, but it sounds like fun and I would love to see what you come up with when you are done
