I have a number of their CDs which I use a lot but haven't looked at their website for a year or two as I took early retirement to look after my late mother so no time or money. I felt like a re-vamp of my card-making recently so looked on-line for them the other day and was I disapointed! What's happened to all their CDs? There were only two on the list but a lot of other supplies which are readily available elsewhere. Have I looked in the wrong place or are they running the business down or have they just come out of CDs?
VERY disappointing!

Ellen go to the Sponsors section, they sponsor this forum, they took over the original company run by Emma sometime ago now.

They are definitely still in business and selling their CDs. I get emails on a regular basis

Cupcakecrafting was bought over quite a while ago. The lovely Lynda Chapman now demonstrates and works with them. As well as my own CDs I also work with them to create CDs alongside other designers.
In fact if you tune in to Create and Craft on Monday 6th February at 8am Cupcakecrafting have their first ever 4 day deal.

Hi Ellen,
I'm sorry to hear that you do not like the papercrafting CD ROMs we now produce. I suppose it's a case of you can't please all of the people all of the time.
We bought Cupcakecrafting 15 months ago together with the old stock of past CD ROMs. Like all things craft papercrafting CD ROMs have moved on since they were first brought to the television by Chris Warner 10 years ago ( I worked alongside Chris for many years). Crafters now want interactive CD ROMs using more professional programming and original artwork which is what we are now bringing to Cupcakecrafting. Older CD ROMs need to be retired as new titles are released. Our website has many exclusive products as we are a supplier of not just CD ROMs but also top quality yarns, paper and card.
Perhaps if you have another look you may see us in a more favourable light you never know.
Kindest regards,
Lynda

Cupcakecrafting LtdWhat a very patronising reply!
My original post pointed out that when I looked there were only 2 cds on the web-site. Not exactly a wide range.

It was certainly not meant to be a patronising reply. In fact that's the first time I have ever been accused of being patronising. If you care to look in the Papercrafting CD ROM section on our website you will in fact find 17 CD ROMs in our catalogue, 7 of which are our own product having been released within the last 12 months so I have no idea as to where you have gotten the idea that we only have 2 titles in our catalogue!.

Calm down ladies - I think this is a case of the both of you talking about 2 different things!
I think Ellen is talking about the original Cupcake Crafting and doesn't realise the company has changed hands (as Rentochops and Sharon has already posted).
And it seems Linda (from Cupcake Crafting) thinks Ellen doesn't like the cds that are being produced.
I hope you come back and read this post Ellen because the poster from Cupcake Crafting is Linda Chapman and she is really nice. I would hate you to miss out on the many great CDs that this company now produces.

Ellen perhaps you are looking at the incorrect website, I thought Lynda's reply was very fair, I think your response was quite acerbic.

Thank Pyjama Princess. You are correct in saying that I read it that Ellen does not like what we produce now which is her perogative to say so but to say that we only have 2 CDs on sale was incorrect. I'm pleased that you like the direction we are now taking with our CD ROMs. Sharon, Helen and I are working very hard to produce quality products which are more diverse and appeal to many crafters rather than just the floral designs which Cupcakecrafting were renowned for in the past.
As you know Pyjama Princess I don't often "bite back":giggle: but in this instance I felt the need to reply.

Don't know how I've landed here because I don't use CDs! However, reading the first post, Ellen does not say that she doesn't like the CDs. She was asking a fair question IMO.

yes but I think the reply was a misunderstanding and was not patronising...

I agree, simple misunderstanding.

It was a misunderstanding for which I apologise to Ellen however to say that we only had 2 CD ROMs on the website was incorrect and to add the words "very disappointed" led to my reply as I felt I needed to get the facts correct. My reply was not meant to be patronising at all. Everybody is entitled to voice their opinions, All I ask is that they get their facts correct when doing so.
