I saw this last night but wondered if anyone knew where I could buy it cheaper,or an alternative cutter.

I get the "can't access product information" message on that item number, did it sell out?

Hi Jeanfan
I saw it on qvc...they have had it in stock before and I was going to get it then but it sold out. Anyway, at the time I searched to see if it was available anywhere else and unfortunately it wasn't.
It does look like a very good tool.

I couldn`t get the picture on the QVC site but I got it on QVC mobile.

Hiya
I searched for it earlier but couldn`t find it anywhere else either,I have a trimmer but I`m a bit fed up with having to buy the blades so often. It does look good, doesn`t it.I`ll think about it for a while longer I think.
Thanks,
Jean

You can still view a small pic of it on the 24 hour review page.
What size does it cut up to? It was on in the background last night but I was on the computer and didn't actually look up at it.

I think it was 6 inch because she cut an 8 inch piece and had to turn it round.

I was cringing when Dawn was demostrating this. I couldn't see any finger guard and I was sure Dawn's fingers were going to be chopped. It got worse when I had the realisation this was real life and not as my Nan used to say, 'they're only acting'. I also didn't like the way the handle of the blade slotted underneath. Think I'm far to screamish for such a tool.

I've got a fiskars guillotine (my sister bought it back from America for me, don't know if its available here) which cuts the same as the QVC cutter but it has safety guards on it. They are much better than the coventional paper trimmers...as you say, the blades run out quickly and work out expensive.

Thanks NCOT,I hadn`t noticed there wasn`t a finger guard so think I`ll give this a miss.I have a small guillotine which only costs £5 and even that has a finger guard.

I can highly recommend the XCut 12" Guillotine. Has all the safety guards in place and cuts like a dream.

I am with nicecupoftea here. Made me feel physically sick watching Dawn operating that ruddy thing with no guards on. Quite frankly I think it is irresponsible to sell something that cuts so efficiently without any safety guards on it.

Thanks everyone for your help.I`ve bought the X cut 12" guillotine.I went for the smaller one but the big one was reduced to £19.99,same price as the smaller one.
