My name is Sam and I started making my Christmas cards this week.

There, it's out! Phew! (actually it was purely out of boredom, I hate being unemployed!)

LMAO..... well done sam, but I hate to tell ya.... I started months ago..... made my latest one yesterday.

Here's a piccy ... well if it works .... its linked from my blog rather than the usual photobucket as I cant get photobucket to play today. I used one of the not yet released Graphicus Guild stamps..... so if your a guild member you can buy this stamp in august ;)

Beautiful card Phree - funnily enough, as you may be able to guess from a post I made the other day, I haven't made a single Xmas card - but I did just get a couple of 'Merry Christmas' stamps from Clevercut...I may contemplate starting in August...possibly...

Just made a start today on mine. Made 10 with the latest Docraft goody bag. Will hopefully get some time during the summer holidays.

Beautiful card Phree.

I usually start mine in August but I think it's going to have to be earlier this year as the Craft Barn extravaganza (http://thecraftbarn.wordpress.com/) is mid September and I'll need to have lots of samples made by then.

How do you store your cards so they are still ok by Christmas? I'd like to start soon as I make all my Christmas cards and it is getting harder to finish in time starting much nearer Christmas. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I always store mine in cello bags, keeps them pristine, makes them easy to organise etc

Have you made new designs for Christmas - can we have an exlusive pre-view on here?

I store mine in those large plastic A4 boxes, the kind they sell on Create and Craft, but which can be bought elsewhere cheaper. I usually get mine at the SECC.

Haven't started drawing yet (need to squeeze a few more ours in the day) it's end-of-term mayhem with the kiddies schools at the moment. Once they break up for summer holidays then I'll get cracking!

Any ideas or suggestions?

Lol, Sandra, I'm no good at stuff like that (especially as I don't have kiddies so am not in the mindset) but...... I'm thinking kind of the characters from the sort's of stories that go well at Christmas, little girls dressed up as Tinkerbell, little boys dressed up as Nutcracker soliders (I think I've just demonstrated why I'd be useless at this, best stick to sparkly wedding stuff for me!!).

Hi Sandra, Can I offer a suggestion? It was mentioned a while ago that there are not nearly enough robin stamps around. I vote for a robin stamp if you would consider it.

I second the Robin stamp.......and Blarf, it was me who posted a while back on the old forum about the lack of Robin stamps, and in fact the lack of Robins in general these days as a Christmas image.

Post Boxes, Post Boxes, Post Boxes. You may have gathered I like post boxes. Penfold ones always look very Christmasy. Lamp Boxes also look nice with a background image to them. Also wall boxes with ivy on top. Yes, lots of post boxes please.

Also Phree and I would like a 'Happy Holidays' stamp - the bigger the better.;)

Only if it comes mounted on wood soaked in the acelerant of my choice with a box of matches so I can use it as a fire lighter to start the biggest stamp bonfire in the world where I get to burn every single stamp ever made that says the dreadful HH greeting ;)

Erm, I may be missing the point (not for the first time) but aren't Sandra's stamps a range of little children characters:confused:

We're just getting carried away I think with our own wishes. Anyway, a little girl holding a 'Happy Holidays' banner would look really cute I think.

How about Santa's elves or a range of cute stars with faces and hands/feet?
