Was taken there yesterday and my eyes were out on stalks, some truly beautiful fabrics in some cases for not a lot of money.

They sell dress fabric in sari lengths made from silk, polyester silk, some is heavily embroidered or beaded, some would have made truly exquisite evening dresses, made up to Western designs. I think when it comes to Sixth form ball gowns at the year 13 ball, I will be going there for the fabric if I decide to make DD a dress.

As you might expect they cater for Asian weddings in a big way. Some of these are truly beautiful.

They also sold Asian shoes, jewellery, handbags and they had a CRAFT section, made up amongst other things of ribbons I hadn't seen anywhere else. They had large racks of ribbons sold on a roll, US style quite inexpensively. They also had organza ribbon with colour graduated left to right, I hadn't seen anywhere else, again, not a fortune.

I coukl have spent a fortune in there but didn't. Its a shop that if you are in the Bradford area, I'd suggest you call into and be prepared to be amazed.

Really, thought you might like to know that all the student accommodation round the university is being demolished. Friend I was with is also an ex Bradford Uni student and pointed out her uni accommodation, poised to be next under the bulldozer.

My friend had some good times in there, described it as along the lines of being in a stew pot in the summer and a freezer in the winter!! Lovely, how students have suffered in the name of study.:)
