View Full Version : Stamping on acetate
I know there have been several threads about this but I can't remember what was said. lol
I have only ever stamped on acetate with StazOn but I want to stamp in white and haven't got a white StazOn pad. I have googled and found you can use Brilliance pads and luckily I've got a white one. Just wondered how well it works?
I've also got some Whispers Archival and wondered if they would be OK?
One thing that suprised me was that you can use the ColorBox Chalk pads on acetate.
Are the others as good as StazOn please and are there any tips going.lol?
Sorry should have put this in the Rubber Stamping section!

I have never tried any of the others Waterlily - but here's the thing - you can't go wrong stamping on acetate if you happen to have a bottle of StazOn cleaner in your stash. Why? Well because if it does go horribly wrong..... you can clean it off with the StazOn Cleaner - and bingo you have a nice clean sheet of acetate on which to start all over again. My suggestion therefore is if you do have StazOn cleaner then have a go with the inks you suggested and post back to let us know how you got on. :)

I did a very quick experiment the other week & stamped a pearlescent Brilliance onto some scrap acetate - left it to dry (overnight I IIRC) & it seemed fine. It did however scratch off (using my nails), but I'm think it would be OK if it was mounted with the stamped side facing inwards so it was protected.

Thanks for the tip Phree, I have got some StazOn cleaner. I've already had a go with the Brilliance.

Thanks Welly, I did try the Brilliance one made a hash of the first one though. I used too much Brilliance and it smudged a bit lol. Tried it again without inking up any more and it worked a treat. Had a go at scratching it off and it seems OK. I couldn't use it the other way round because the stamp has words on it.
