I have tried the what is a back order email as well and not one sensible answer from them .

I will not order from them again .

Hope no one else is in the same boat as me .

Hi PP,

I'm like you. I was silly enough to order during their Craft Week. I have received one of the items, but most of them still say awaiting despatch or the famous - back order !!!!

Hopefully your stuff will arrive soon.

I only ordered 2 things. The scissors arrived really quickly but the colour dimension peel offs are still not here.

Just waiting on my vine embossed foils that were despatched on Saturday.

I'm not so much annoyed as just irritated by all the craft days - we only have so much money & they're just overdoing it IMHO

Also, Welly, now wouldn't dream of buying from a Craft Day unless it was also free p&p;)

Hear, hear Dips. I didn't even bother to look at the Extravaganza last night when I realised there was no free P&P. My money's safe for another day.

I got all excited when I saw free p&p on the potw show as that usually means it's free on the craft event too.
Lucky they are charging really as it means I can't spend money that I don't really have!!

I ordered three things during the craft week. One came very quickly and the other two arrived today.

I too no longer purchase from IW unless there is free PNP. As they offer it so frequently now I have learned to tell myself NO unless there is no postage to pay. The goods nearly always become available again, and if they dont well then you wouldnt be able to get replacement for bits you use.

I am also resolved to never buy a POD again at the full POD price, as they always end up in extravaganza shows without PNP later on.

I think IW are flogging the craft market and I have lost all respect that I had left for them (which wasnt much due to customer service and threatening of customers), they are a cynical business it seems to me and will end up alienating lots of people would would otherwise have found pleasure in crafting.

Their continual reducing of POTD's and flogging stuff at extravaganza prices with unrealistic previous prices doesn't seem ethical to me.

The problem for craft businesses its that this is really the only TV outlet unless you are a big established company, and though it is admirable that C&C take a risk on new products, the risk is not that great.

Well that's me - end of rant!

Rant away ROC! I agree with you. It really bugs me that they are allowed to advertise IW prices such as £79.98 for yesterdays POTD. Has anyone ever bought these CDs for that price? I think not! You wouldn't be allowed to do that in a high st store

Absolutely right, ROC, but I think, too, that they're doing more and more of the "oh, this is a good product - let's take the idea and stick a C&C label on it" thing. How many of the MCS CDs, for example, use the Victorian theme that Joanna Sheen does so well, and are theirs any better? They've also now branded things like the storage boxes as their own, and at a dearer price! And did I not see one of the recent Wonderland type PODs, which we know certainly used to come from MIC, with C&C bands round the envelopes etc. They're beginning to look like the crafting equivalent of Tescos, whose stated aim is to beat the likes of Boots, WH Smiths etc off the High Street. I suppose that as long as the country is gradually going digital, they'll continually be able to claim so many new customers per trading quarter, but I don't suppose we'll ever know how many customers they lose per quarter as a result of their shocking treatment of customers. I reckon we just have to pray that independent retailers keep on going so that we have the alternative options.

They will only keep in business if you support them, my husband works for an independant electrical group who are really struggling with the 'big boys' The old saying is true if you don't use it, you lose it. Lots of smaller craft shops have closed around here.
