does anyone remember the Circle Scribe? It always looked great but I only have one arm so I couldn't have used it.

I've got one upstairs that I did a swap for. Can't say I've ever had the time to learn how to use it though :D

I got one ages ago but I must be really dumb 'cos I never managed to figure out all the numerical stuff like where to match up all the points etc. Basically it just looked too complicated.

Oh my, this thread brought back memories - back when I first started to get hooked on Create and Craft I recall seeing a show with the Circle Scribe and thinking what a really useful tool - end result I decided I ought to have one and added it to my wishlist.
Never did get one though as it never came back on air - now with a lot more in the way of unwise crafting buys behind me I am not so sure if I would want it or not as my memory of how it worked is hazy and perhaps in the light of experience it would not impress me so much.

I was never much good at maths at school either. Maybe one day I will be brave and take it out of the box.

I bought one ages ago, it's great for cutting circles but as for all the other shapes I never did get round to trying them all, tried to cut a heart shape but couldn't get the circles to match up properly to make the top of the heart and the whole thing just looked too squashed, now I've been reminded about it I might just dig it out and have another go.

I bought one yonks ago too. It was only the other day that I needed it and I could find it!! Must be burried somewhere under my stash mountain! My trusty Cricket stepped in and cut some circles beautifully for me:D

would anyone like to swap it for a bag of wooden stamps and some other bits of stash, (a brass stencil and a couple of 6" paper pads from QVC?) if so, email me on

Lynn, it's not a good idea to put your email address on a public forum.
I like Geometery!! :D
Me too, plus algebra, and I still have to use the (now very battered) calculator that I used when I did my Maths A'level over 20 years ago, beause I can't find a replacment that can calculate Compound Annual Growth rates:D
I find Maths very theraputic:eek:

Dips, I've never met anyone else who likes Algebra. My boys think I MAD when I try to convince them algebra is easy :D
