Sandra, I love the way you've coloured the stamps it's so artistic. Do you blend the colours together and what is Sansodor?
Thank you

Beautiful cards. Your card you made for uncle and aunt certainly showed you cared.

Fab cards and blog Sandra - I had a peek last night before I went to work but did not have time to post here.

Mrs D - Sansodor is the brand name given by Windsor and Newton to their low odour Artists White Spirits. I have something similiar that I use with Prismacolor pencils - twice the quantity for half the price. I bought it at a local art supplies shop in town, unfortunately that shop has now closed. I mention this because I see so many posts about using Sansodor and find myself thinking that folks don't realise it's just a brand name and therefore more expensive - rather like buying branded medications - Nurofen instead of ibuprofen if you see what I mean.

Thanks Phree, I guess that's why the colouring effects look so good and so well blended. So are Prismacolor oil based then?

You have done a FABULOUS job on both your blog and the cards. I especially like the retirement cards oh and the Sarah Kay one. I'm probably one of the minority but I don't like magnolia tilda stamps because of the faces. Someone said to me once, they look like hippo's with mumps and I can't get that image out of my mind when I see them. I love everything else about them though and I LOVE the faces on your stamp designs Sandra. Perhaps you could have a word in their shell likes!! :D

Going to hide in a corner now!!!

I feel the same Jeanette - their faces are far too wide but they are quite cute. I do love the Sarah Kay stamps though

Wow!! Sorry I haven't replied earlier but I've been at work most of the weekend. (a girls gotta pay for those crafting goodies somehow ;))

Thank you all so much for the kind comments. Also thanks to Phree for answering the colouring questions.

My next set of rubber stamp designs (which I think are coming out late August... but don't quote me on that) are in the same style as my previous ones, but the set that I am working on now have proper faces (by popular demand!) We'll see how those turn out. I'm having so much fun doing the sketches. I just wish there were more hours in the day!!

Thanks again everyone

This blending technique has just prompted me to go out and buy some pebeo equivalent of the medium and some paper stumps. It is also demo'd on Hero Art's website at the moment. I felt I was missing out on a technique - LOL!
I think the kid in me still loves colouring in!

Thing is, that Jaw of Granite makes Tilda look totally uncute to me.... I keep wanting to add tiny dots all over ..then she really would look like Desperate Dan right down the the unshaven stubble :D

Jeanette

The designs are brilliant but as you say Phree the 'jaw of granite' totally ruins the cute design

There are some more 'Thank you teacher' cards on my blog, here. (http://sandradrydesigns.wordpress.com/) This time they are for my little boy Tommy (not so little anymore as it was his ninth birthday on Monday... that reminds me, must 'blog' the cards I made him) As always... I was working to a tight deadline. Made them last night to be given to teachers today, the last day of term! Why do I always do that?

Sandra, those 'teacher's' cards are fabulous. If I was one of the teachers I would keep it forever - they are so unusual and very apt.

Thanks Tam. Only thing is 'blogging' is taking up most of my forum time. What with that and my little boy on summer holidays I hardly get a look in on pc. That's why I haven't been around much lately. I do try and read what's doing on though.:)
