I was told to join this forum as you are all into craft and very helpfull. I bought the shaped concertina cards from QVC 587865 but can't remember the demo other than they looked really nice, I am having an inspiration block at the moment which is driving me mad. Does anyone have any ideas for using these cards please.:)

Welcome Babytoes, there are some very clever and talented crafters on this forum and I know that someone will be able to help you sooner or later! Might take a day or two for everyone to see your request though.

Either way, make sure you show us what you make with the kit!:)

welcome Babytoes you will be thankful to anyone who told you to join this friendly forum.

Have you watched the video presentation on the website under the item, think it will help? Actually having watched it I don't think it will!

Are you meant to use the panels as toppers on the cards?

Failing this send QVC an e-mail and ask them to give it to DB!

Hi babytoes - big warm welcome to CT.com :)

Can't believe they've used that as the demo video for this product  I don't know who he is (cuz I only watch crafty stuff on QVC), but it's a bit too much to just post the trailer for a product, rather than a demo...

Anyhoo, DB is a great fan of inking or chalking round the edge of the oval panel & maybe the curved bit of the card itself. You can use the cards with or without the oval mat (obviously :D), & I seem to have seen them mostly used for mounting a pretty decouped image...

I reckon you could make an unusual gatefold out of 2 of them...

I've always quite fancied these myself cos they seem a nice shape & a decent price - just not so sure about 40 of them

Welcome Babytoes to the forum ! You can use a patterned paper at the back or front so that it contrast so that the curved shape stands out. The scalloped oval is totally optional I guess and can be used with other cards or across too. It's a nice stock of card blanks to have for the occasional unusual shape card. Have fun with it once you get your craft mojo back. X Fab

Aw, you are too kind Babytoes, tho I must admit I was rather pleased with my zendoodling - if you are a doodler yourself you should give it a try as I found it quite theraputic to just sit and scribble away. Gel pens are pretty good - the kind you can buy in any stationers such as W H Smith - and some decent white card or paper with a nice smooth surface and your set to go.

Thank you so much fabyon for the ideas for the shaped cards. I loved your oriental cards, you are a talented lot on this forum, I shall have to buck my ideas up and do some serious crafting. x Bobbie

Welcome babytoes. I hope you have managed to find some ideas for those cards. I must say the presentation video for the cards seems pretty useless :D

Just realised the kit has a video clip on the QVC site - click here (http://www.qvcuk.com/ukqic/qvcapp.aspx/app.detail/params.item.587865) Babytoes, if you still have the cards!

Lola, have you watched the video? It's the same one we all commented on before - completely useless as a demo I'm afraid :o

I think I've got the answer - was looking through all the cards and found this (http://www.qvcuk.com/ukqic/qvcapp.aspx/app.detail/params.item.587477). They seem to be similar cards but in white instead of cream and the video clip is much more helpful.

:happy:Thank you so much Lola you are an absolute star, I had a complete mental block with these cards but that demo has done the trick. I can't wait to get started now. Bobbie x
