Having acquired a bigshot machine recently, where is the cheapest place to buy the nesties please? Also which is the best first set to buy?:whew:

looking forward to seeing some replies, fancied some nesties for a while now,
I don't know about the cheapest place, but my first nesties were the circles and scalloped circles and I've used them lots. :)

I think the cheapest place (in the UK) that I've seen is Once Upon a Stamp - four sets are £60 with free delivery. A significant investment, but you need to buy them in paired sets anyway (one straight & one scalloped), unless you go for the new labels styles. Other places that I've seen are £16 - £17 or more a set, possible with p&p to pay too.
I started with ovals and rectangles and have a couple of the labels sets too but recently developed a burning need for circles and squares, so am waiting for those to arrive now
If you're just after maybe a labels set to start with, forum sponsor Country View Crafts has some on special offer atm :)

One of the best prices in the UK is from Once Upon A Stamp - especially if you can run to buying 4 sets at one time - you get 4 sets for £60. Bear in mind a set is a single shape either straight edged or scalloped or whatever in a progression of various sizes. I am saying this cuz at one time I thought by "set" they meant a single pack that contained the plain straight edge shapes AND the matching scallop shape for matting onto.
Anyhow, here's the link - http://www.onceuponastamp.co.uk/
Postage from OUAS is free, the only drawback is they are not always as fast as for example Joanna Sheen - so it may take 4 or 5 days easily for your order to arrive.

But Gordon is at OUAS is an absolute sweetheart, and the offer is the best I have seen anywhere so a small wait is fine by me.
I have all the labels, circles and ovals both plain and scalloped, large long rectangles scalloped, and all the flower type shapes, plus the plain octagons........ next I fancy the wobbly rectangle type ones and the square and rectangles in both plain and scallop which I really thought I wouldn't need, but always seem to fancy doing just lately. I bought them 4 at a time whenever I could save the money, and I just adore them.

I bought most of mine from Ucut when the exchange rate was in our favour. My favourite are the petite ovals. The petite refers to the size of the scallop not the die. The oval is more elongated than the standard one

Thanks for the mention Win. Yes, we've just reduced all our prices on all spellbinder dies and at the moment we are still offering free postage to the UK on any order. We may have to change that to "free over a certain order value" in the near future (damn recession!) but as with the other site sponsors the base cost will be low.
