I Am Doomed. Paypal can get through the filter at work and I always remember my password! BUT, isn't it good economic sense to stash-building while there are so many bargains to be had? Mad About Cards have some fantastically-priced stuff this weekend with 10% off. Ordered it yesterday arrived today and their postage is sensible because the box was heavy. So like others I haven't made a card for ages but I've got some lovely bargain priced stuff waiting for me when I do!

Stash building should be put forward to the Olympics as it's a 'competitive sport' not for the faint hearted ! LOL :)

The thing about stash building is it never seems to end. When I first started making cards I thought once I hade got myself set up with a few tools, some card and some bits and bobs to put on them, I would start saving myself a fortune, not having to buy any shop bought cards!! How different it is in reality! I am still stash building years later, and over the years i must have spent thousands of pounds! Even when i sold cards at work, the money always went back into craft stash! Trouble is people keep bringing out gorgeous stamps, or cds or lush card, or a new must have tool, to tempt us with, and we can't resist (well not for long anyway). And then you decide you want to try yet another different technique and you have to get the necessary stash, and it is a never ending process. My latest 'new' is scrapbooking, so I have to have scrapbooks, papers etc etc . So now when a new cd or set of stamps comes out, I NEED them for my cards and my scrapbooking, so they have to be bought!

It's terrible what us crafters have to go through isn't it?
How on earth are we supposed to resist a bargain when we know it's something we absolutely must have cos we absolutely need it?
It is such hard work being a stasher ... oops I mean crafter ... :whew:

Like you ROC I need to downsize, but I only buy card/paper, embellishments and cd roms. I've told myself I will buy no more card but I'm attracted to that pearlescent, shimmery, glimmery card like a magpie.
I need to get some Christmas sentiments and stickles from my Craft Shop today.....help!
Posted later... £18... DH shouldn't have given me the £20 note!

I thought I know my 11 year old neice (with family)is coming next weekend so while I clear the dining room to convert back to what its use is I will pop some crafty things in a bag for her. You know the sort of thing freebies from the craft mags and things that were bought as a bargain but not seen light of day!. Well i had a quick look at some of the sets still in carrier bags behind the side board and couldn't bring myself to give away. I keep thinking I might just need them but I have so much stuff I wont I know. I will try and work up to parting with them. I have until Friday.

Hi all, I have a confession...I only went on Cheddar Stamper a few mins to have a look, honest. That's all it was...I brought one full-priced stamp and two in the 50% off so it is a saving isn't it?
Oh, dear...my name is Muffintop and I'm a stash-a-holic. There I've said it.
