I've just bought Crafts Beautful cos they've got that huge bag of cardstock embellies as the free gift again. As a memory jogger, we had a thread (http://www.crafttelly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=621&highlight=crafts+beautiful) about it last time too.

There's also an offer to get an MCS CD free (just pay p&p) too - haven't read that up yet, so I'm not sure if there are any further catches to that offer

I subscribe to CB but when my copy arrived there was a little note inside. Due to supplier problems they'd run out of the cardstock embellishments and substitued another item for my free gift - A 'Charlotte' Cardmaking Kit. A c****y card and embellishment kit  The 5 cards are in a delicate shade of canary yellow and approx 3inches by 6 inches, a sort of mini DL. And you get better embellishments free with LMC - there was 5 packs with only a few gems in each. I'm really miffed :envy:

So if anyone is thinking of buying CB then please check the freebie before buying it.

Yes I am also a subscriber and didnt get the toppers but also got the yellow card kit (which is not up to much) so I am not too happy either. Apparently if you buy this mag from larger Tescos as well as the toppers you also get a cd and a catalogue of some kind.

The catalogue is the current Stampin' Up! Catalogue which is worth £4.95 on its own. I dont think its fair to treat your subsribers as 2nd class citizens, they should be 1st to get the original freebie

If you got the pack last time, they're on that same vain - in fact I had a few duplicates. And this time, I think I've got more of the Christmassy ones

I shall also now confess to ordering the MCS CD - for £2.95 p&p I thought 'Why not?', let's have a nosey at one close up as it were.

Are they offering a different one through Tesco? The one I've ordered is an MCS one called 'Celebrations Volume 2'

Not sure Welly. Betty1964 posted that you got a free cd and magazine with the tesco issue as well as the embellishments and apparantly its the stampin up mag but unclear as to wether you actually get a cd with the mag or if its the same offer you had and you have to send off for it. Dilema here is do I rush off to Tesco to have a look or not. Probably not as only more money on something I dont really need.

They really should give everyone the same. It is a disgrace giving subscribers less than everybody else. It is always the same the existing customers always seem to get the poorest deal! You would think they would value loyalty!

I don't subscribe to CB, but buy most issues. I did get the toppers at my newsagents, and i have sent off for the mcs cd. If they are giving away cd1 at tesco, then it ought to have been offered to everyone else even if they did have to pay postage. We don't all have a tescos nearby.

I know what you mean budgie. I subscribe to 4 magazines and have seen many a time extra exclusives in the supermarket copies which is rather annoying. I am fortunate that I have a large Tesco's near me so shop there all the time. In fact one of my subscriptions is "free" using my clubcard vouchers. :clapping: A word of warning on papercraft inspirations this month. There are some acrylic fairy stamps which are stuck to the acetate very well so when trying to peel them off extra care is needed otherwise you will rip them.

Very Interesting...... Today in WHSmiths I looked at Crafts Beautiful having read that the embelishments were with it. They were and on the back page was the advert for the MCS disc and phone number. I decided against it and came home. Then on reading further threads about the Tesco offer I succumbed to temptation (all in the interest of research LOL) and went to tescos and lo and behold there was a copy complete with disc( MCS Celebrations Vol 1) stampin up mag and CB mag. So I bought it. Having opened it the back page of the CB mag does not have the offer of the MCS disc on (not complaining as I have a disc) so clearly there are different versions around.

I bought the CB mag in Sainsburys yesterday and, on the whole, the embellishments are useful for scrapbooking as well as so-called quick cards!

But being a subscriber and not getting the freebie would really rile me. I subscribe to Let's Knit (in the same group) and, so far, have always had to same offer sent to me. A complaint should s in from all of you disappointed subscribers.

The offer for the disc wasn't printed on the back page, that's an insert that's bigger than the mag with various 'Craft with Steph'/MCS products on it as well as the offer for the free CD

Thanks for this Welly and Betty1964. I finally got to Tesco today and got the mag. It had the lovely die-cuts, Stampin' Up catalogue and MCS CD with it. As well as the offer to send off for volume 2 of the CD. That should keep me quiet for a while.
