Hi Scotty. I think you have to be a VIP member to be able to have an avatar. To become a VIP member you need to make a donation towards the running of the site - button near the top of the screen.

Not the usual forum format? We are unique here. :)

Hi Scotty and welcome :D

There are a few perks like the avatars if you decide to become a VIP member, but no one will think any the worse if you decide not to :)

Hope you will enjoy the forum!

Hi Scotty and welcome - I am interested to how you think this forum differs to other (other than the avator thing)? It is unsual in that is it is very warm and not cliquey.:D

Welcome to the forum Scotty. As the others have said, how is it different? Seems to be a busier than some I have browsed on. That is a good thing, as we get more information about products and tips and techniques etc.

Welcome to the forum Scotty and Tammi :)

I guess each forum or message board has it's own quirks, depends on the host site etc. However I have always found the v-bulletin format pretty easy to get along with so I am sure you will soon feel comfortable about how stuff works here Scotty.... if you get stuck post a question and I am sure someone will be able to answer it.

Hi Scotty :) Big warm welcome to CT.com

Sorry for the delay in the welcome, but I had some technical difficulties with the forum & I'm now off to find out if anyone else had probs

Anyway, hope you have fun finding your way around - we're a friendly bunch so just ask if you're not sure what's going on :D
