I just went to check the price of something on the Lakeland site & the Craft Creative section is no longer there :(

------ edit ------
you can still search for stuff, if you know what you want

Oh no, that's really sad. I loved the craft range they used to do, it all went downhill when they did 3 catalogues a year though.
Will have to pop to my nearest store next week to see if there are any bargains!

That's a real shame :(
I knew it was on it's way out, just not sure when it was due to end. They had some good bits & pieces!

That's a shame it seems to have come very quickly.

How sad! I didn't buy much from them but sometimes they had some bargains.

If you type 'crafts' into the search box, it brings up 134 items!

This does seem to be a shame. Never bought from them myself, but not because I didn't want some of the stuff they had, just that other things kept moving faster up to the top of my wish list.

Have bought quite a few bits and pieces from Lakeland over the years. There are one or two items exclusive to Lakeland I thought too expensive, so hopefully I may get them a bit cheaper - off to have a look.

I think one of the problems was that they had lots of nice stuff, but for the most part, it was overpriced, so people would wait for the fab sales prices.

My feelings exactly

Just been to look and what I was hoping to buy is no longer listed. There is nothing to say that either the Harrogate or York branches won't have what I am looking for. There are a few tempting offers though.

I agree, also their p&p put me off when you can get it reduced or free elsewhere. It is a shame though as they had some nice things and their CS is superb.

I was in their York store in the middle of May (before I found CT) and noticed most of the craft stuff they had left had been reduced. However, Little Angel started 'I need the toilet' and I had to rush to BHS before I had a chance to look at it. When I came back Father had bought his bathroom cleaner and wasn't interested in going back in.

I'll miss the craft section. I always pop into Lakeland to see what I can buy when I go into town.

Can't understand why it is all hidden away unless you search for it. They won't sell off the rest of their stock like that. Perhaps they will have it at sale prices.

Hmm its only a couple of weeks since we were in the Windermere store, they had some reductions on some craft itrems but nothing out of the ordinary, i understand that they will be keeping some of their more popular craft items but obviously not as many items as at the moment, shame really :(

Their cafe has also changed their menu, it was never the cheaspest place to eat but was always good for a treat, dont think we will be bothering any more though now, although i "think" the prices are still the same, what you get on the plate most definately is not!

Sounds like their gearing up to make even more money out of the holidaymakers!

Maybe so, but they have lost our custom and i suspect many more "Local" peoples custom too, i also think their quality has suffered too in the new menu :(

That's a real shame if the quality has gone down - I thought that was the one thing you could be guaranteed of with Lakeland.

Our Lakeland has stopped craft all together, women said that they are branching the craft section somewhere else, not sure what she meant. But most of the stuff can be got from readycut anyway.

Might well be with the rising fuel prices what they are able to provide has had to change. The food itself and the prices they pay, may have forced them to go for cheaper alternatives.
