Mind you it's a scary price!

I was reading about that in Nige's email but I was shocked at the price. Watched a demo but really couldn't see how it justified a price tag like that!

I saw this on my hols in USA in August and it looks great. It's not available in USA until 4th October and Michaels had it on pre order for that time at $299. I was going to pre-order it there and my family who live there were going to pick it up and send it but with the postage and poor exchange rate we worked out that it wasn't worth the risk of it going missing in the post or being subject to import charges from the PO.
The machine is good because it's an advance on the cricut design studio but you can do more with it and you only have to load your cartridges once so saving on the £70 you'd pay for the cricut cartridge station that only allows 6 cartidges at once.
A good piece of kit if you use your cricut regularly.

Mmmmm - still thinking about that one  I've been on the Cricut.com messageboard noseying about and there's a lot of conflicting opinions. Those who like it, LOVE IT :clapping: but it seems we in the UK may be getting the better deal as it's been updated a few times to iron out faults.
If you order from Cardcraft.co.uk, they WILL support you afterwards (I've clarified that with them) and will liaise with Provocraft if there are faults. I do know that you can only load your carts onto one Gypsy (you can't re-load them onto somebody else's) and once they're loaded, you can't re-load them onto another Gypsy, should yours be faulty after the warranty period. BUT - if the Gypsy goes wrong during the warranty period, Cardcraft will support you through it all, liaising with Provocraft, and if necessary, returning it to PC for replacement. PC have said that they would, if necessary, replace the faulty Gypsy with one of the same serial number so you would be able to re-load your carts onto the replacement one. Also - your carts are still usable in their original form, with the jukebox or cricut machine, contrary to original reports from US.
Also, consideration, if you don't order from an authorised UK importer, you would have to do any spadework with PC yourself, which could be a pain. This also applies if you buy direct from US.
Decisions, decisions
