I'd had this idea swirling in my head (based around a Christmas card idea that was like a present) and then when I saw the card swap theme, it gave me the chance to get my idea out of my head and into reality.

Thank you. Hey, Phree, you can't really see in the photo, but I used some of the Chameleon colour change cardstock to make this. The one I used goes from Purple to almost copper, depending on the light. RW, can you see the colour play in the card?

We were out at the time it was delivered so perhaps he did knock and getting no reply then pushed it through the letter box, luckily the damage was confined to the box only, it would have been even worse if the inside was damaged too,

Yep indeed i can, (used my phone to take the pics as my camera battery needs charging itsnt that always the way:( ) and it hasnt picked up the two tone colour well

No problems Phree or Dips; I like Phree's honesty - you don't need to tipsy toe around me - only seconds for another photo.

Not giving up my teddy shots just yet though LOL, but I will do two from now on!

I think this was the first A6 size I've taken a piccy of so it was drowned out by teddy.:D

Yep the post managed to bash Macey's card around, but at least it arrived and these days I guess I have to be grateful for that. I have yet another missing item......this time it's the Road Tax Reminder Letter for my car.... you know....the form you have to take with you to the post office when you buy your road tax. Usually it arrives at least 2 weeks before the tax is due..... well it's due at the end of the month and we still don't have the letter...... my guess is the the PO have lost yet another item of my mail!

Wow, some really gorgeous cards folks. I particularly love the glittering. I have glitter, acetate and staz-on at home but am always put off trying the glitter on acetate effect as it has the potential to be quite messy - but your cards have inspired me to give it a go.

The flower head has been stamped (I think) onto foil card, and then coloured in with Sakura pens. The matting layers are coloured too by sponging on various inks and the flourishes have glitter accents.

Aw thank you dips for the "talented" comment and for taking such a fab photo of the card. It's not glitter btw on the flourishes.... it's heat embossing with Stamp N Stuff Holographic Black powder..... and boy can I recommend it.... its SUPER SPARKLY......mmmmmmmmm me loves sparkles..... anyhow if you want to try some they call it "Disco Black" - I bought it when I was on holiday and had been dying for an excuse to use it :D

There is glitter - the Stickles Stardust kind on the edges of the black matting.

That's fab Welly, is the not glittered image coloured with Crystal Laquers ?

I used sakura glaze pens - still haven't invested in any crystal laquers. The red isn't the right red, needed to be deeper & less pink. Of course, after I'd finished it I checked out JS's site & found that Sakura have just produced a new 'true' red glaze pen - humph!

That's the begger :) I wanted something a bit different but couldn't find anything that leapt out. Then I was flicking through an issue of Papercraft Inspirations from a couple of months back & (re)found an article on glass painting that used these Clarice Cliff-based designs - bingo!

Then I couldn't decide whether to do glitter or glaze (I even experimented with H2Os on printable acetate). I ended up with a panel of each & then went to hell & back trying to decide how to mount the glazed panel. I was not a happy bunny the other night!

Crystal laquers Phree, I posted my card to Lorraine v late, is it my eyes or is the photo a bit blurry - not a cristicism Lorraine, I am a bit worried!

It is blurry, was anxious to keep my promise and put a piccie on. Makes me think that Pam's card will suffer the blurs too, so would you mind taking more photos please Pam, so I can copy them. Will have another try tomorrow, as it does look as if we need corrective optical surgery.

Lovely card ROC :) Um, as you've taken down the first pic I can't make the comparison Lorraine, but the one you've posted today is still a bit fuzzy - I can still see what it it tho' so don't worry about it :)

This time I switched off the flash, but the card is mirrored and the stones are also sparkly, so the camera was having a hard job on what to focus on. I think I will have to see about begging a better camera for Crimbo.

I've asked for it to be private but if I click on them I can still get into it, I don't know if it's just because it's me doing the clicking. lol

I haven't got anything to hide but it does worry me a bit if anybody can see my pics.

Any help gratefully received, there's only one pic there at the moment because I removed them all last night, except that one. eeek

Um, I can't see them at all anymore Pam, the link's been broken to your Photobucket account I think.

Someone one here might be able to explain the differences between all them codes you get on the Photobucket account - I always use the IMG code cos that's what I was taught. I don't think that allows anyone access to my account

and yes it does take you to your photobucket

didnt see the rose Pam, only whichever picture of Lorraine's card i clicked on,
if i click on the slide show it asks me for your password, so from that i assume your photo's are safe from prying eyes :D

I photobucketed the piccies and also saved them onto my pictures but had to do it one image at a time. I would imagine that the reason for this is as Rainbowwand explained.

For this forum, I use the IMG code, but have for other places needed to use the direct link but have had problems with the image being too big. This is the one case where if you don't really know what you are doing, fiddle.

I've used the IMG code(for the first time, I usually use the one above that) for Little Jan's card in the Sept and it seems to be much safer. Nothing happens when you click on it. lol

IMG code is the best one to use for CT, however if you have used the other one anyone who opens your photobucket page can only LOOK.... they need to have your log in name and password if they actually want to edit (ie delete or add photos, create albums etc)
