I have "inherited" some lovely pearlised acrylic paints. Yesterday I tried an experiment, sponged some of the acrylic colours onto basic card stock so it looked a bit like a brayered surface. Then I tried stamping on that. Stayson did well but I only have a boring brown colour (reminder - must buy more colours). Then I tried some of my pigment pads. As might be expected these did not dry easily. Being impatient I tryin blotting with kitchen paper. This gave lovely soft misty prints which don't seem to have any rub off problems.

Don't know why I am posting this other than to share with all the other rubber stamping fans. Love playing about with different ways of stamping!:clapping:

you can buy mediums to mix with acrylics that make them suitable for loads of surfaces, one of them makes a stamping medium.

thanks will take a look at that. I haven't done much painting for years (tended to do watercolour) and really do need to search out what is around these days.:flower:
