View Full Version : Mmmm, yummy ribbons
Just found these Velvet Ribbons (http://www.createandcraft.com/Christmas_Velvet_Ribbon_Pack_137347.aspx?) on CAC and they somehow found themselves in my basket and then they appear to have checked themselves out:)
Hope I don't have the same problems as Gill:mad:

Yummy indeed...:p
Yes, but did you hear that twit, Martin, last night calling the grosgrain ribbons "gross-grain". I could only watch a few minutes as I find him so awful that it becomes unbearable. I hope he's not on today, I have lots of crafting to do today and I was intending to watch as I made!

I heard him Dips, why couldn't someone correct him though?????
The ribbons do look rather nice and I had never heard of grosgrain velvet before! I am resisiting at the moment though as although I use lots of ribbon, I think its a tad narrow for me!
Me neither, Jeanette. I've actually bought the plain velvet, not the grosgrain. I know that it is narrow, but I have this technique of double-layering 2 different widths of ribbon, and I think that the velvet will add a lovely, luxury, tactile top layer on top of a 7mm width of double satin.

It was poor Sugarplum, only saved by Jo, never seen her before but really liked her manner and she actually seemed to be an expert, anyone who can lay down foam pads and then take the tops off with a knife that quickly, clearly knows her onions! She didn't giggle stupidly either!

Only 8p a metre for non C&C club members. Very good value. Very, very tempting.

Have a look at my website www.DipsDesigns.com (http://www.DipsDesigns.com) to see several examples of double layered ribbon, it's kind of "My Thing"!, lol:D

I loved her technique for using foam pads! I can never get my knife to do things like that, I just seem to stab a hole rather than catching the carrier bit so I just stick to good old nail power LOL
