There is a We R Memory Keepers TSV on Tuesday 1st July.
Any ideas what it's going to be yet ?
Thanks
Barney
Hi Barney
It's going to be the Big Bite:D Everyone is very excited - we had a long thread on it before BB (Big Bang), lol!

Gosh, QVC nearly managed to knock off a tenner. Only nearly though.
Just put mine on cheque hold, waiting for some funds to clear into my account that I use to pay QVC, which should be in tomorrow. I will use this lots.
That does seem a very good price. Still not excited though! :D

I will be skint and eating beans by the 1st of July, hubby doesn't know it yet but he is about to find on out Sunday why I agreed to him having a PS3 when we bought the new telly :D However do I care......not reallly as the BB is not something I think I would use much.
Thanks Jeanette, I'm wondering whether to order it now, as I know that I want it and just for once, I actually NEED it too! LOL

dont think that will be the qvc price as there is no way they will knock nearly £10 off the price for a tsv
Once it's been a TSV, it'll then go to an Introductory Price somewhere between TSV price and QVC price.

Come to think of it, there was nothing in the bottom apart from the instructions in a variety of languages, therefore I haven't thrown any eyelets away phew - gave me a nasty moment though.

Pink? will defo pay for mine now, put it on cheque hold, thanks to this thread, last night.
Pink, oh Yuk!
I really wanted this but I'm going to save my money and wait for a good deal at an independent now.

Don't weaken Dips put the credit card down and step away from the computer! It will probably be cheaper in a few weeks and that would be annoying for you. There will be plenty of other Christmas goodies they haven't started bombarding us with them yet.

I ain't as much of an expert on QVC as you SCW, but I really can't see it being on Easy Pay - if it's anything at all like the C-O-D, it'll zap out of the warehouse with no probs & I very much suspect QVC know this.
In the 12months or so that I've been watching crafty QVC, I think I've only seen one TSV on Easy Pay on TSV day - the Do Crafts sticker kit from last April that was my first ever purchase from QVC exactly cos it was on Easy Pay...

My money is safe on this one - I don't really have a burning need to eyelet anything further in than the crop-o-dile will reach, and if I do, I have another eyelet setter that I haven't got round to using yet.
I haven't really got the full hang of the crop-o-dile yet - i.e. setting the eyelet without squashing it. I really need to read the instructions properly  and sit down and have a bit of a practice with it.

thought it was only me that manages to ruin the bigger eyelets when setting them  Will not be buying the BB as the CAD is okay for what I need it for. Why have they put it up for sale so early???????????
I use my COD mostly for creating holes for ribbon and I need to be able to create, say, 200 cards with holes in the same place ;). The BB will be invaluable to me as it will really increase the variability for where I can thread ribbon:)

I have those and they are a right load of rubbish. Fortunately I purchased them from the outlet shop so didn't pay much for them. I should have realised when I saw they were by Fiskars that they would be no good. The only decent Fiskars product that I have are their scissors.

If I have read this correctly the BB case and gromlets are being sold seperately from the BB itself? If so then paying nearly £26 (after factoring in p&p) for those items seems a bit expensive to me.

Oh dear I need to confess. :o I somehow managed to buy both the BB and the case with all the extras. I know I said yesterday I was going to resist but I couldn't. I am so weak.
I was swayed by how easy it is to use and the fact that you can accurately measure where you place an eyelet. My excuse for the case is I don't have one! :D I thought the value of all the extras was good and thought if I don't order now I'll regret it.
Anyway it's my DH's fault for opening a QVC account so I can use his credit card - it would be rude not to. ;)
I've just put the case on cheque hold whilst I think about it. I don't think I'm going to see any shows until the 11pm one this evening, but I did want to secure the case should I actually want it:p! Still hoping my BB will arrive today!

I've been waiting for this since March and now it's just the wrong time of the month to be paying out for a glorified hole punch ( I'm trying to convince myself I'm doing the right thing). Just haven't got the money at the moment to be spending out on this. Aren't I good?
Well I've got to make sure I've got enough money for the Liz Earle TSV on Saturday and I'm going to the envelope shop tomorrow...
Would it help to put it on cheque hold and the you can amend the payment method in a couple of weeks?

Thanks for the tip Sugarplum, but I'm a here and now girl. That's what comes of having a father who was a bank manager. I don't have a regular income coz I look after my little angel full time so my pocket money is just what I get in from card sales. Will put it on the Crimbo list. I can be very patient at times. Hubby and father can then fight over it as to who gives it to me. That's if nothing more tempting comes along in the meantime...
Have just ordered wasn't going too but you know how it is and such a good price. Now do I need the extra eyelets when I have loads with my CD??

Well I don't like pink, and I won't be ordering it!
At least that's what I said to DH until he walked in and saw me ordering it at 12.05. :o:o
Oh come on? I held out for a full FIVE minutes! LOL
You had me fooled there for a minute primrose, I actually thought you werent going to buy it :D
I find it rather odd that a TSV (of any kind, not just craft) has its first daytime showing at 2pm. Normally you'd have a morning showing at 10 or 11am with a second showing at 1 or 2pm.
It is really odd isnt it, I was looking forward to a crafting show this morning but none, just the usual 2 hours on a Tuesday afternoon, nothing special about being a TSV day :(
Bluebell
01-07-2008, 01:33 PM
The BB is going to stay out on my craft table. I know if I put it in a box I wont use it have as much. The designer eyelets look FAB though but I must keep telling myself No No No!!!
I am not fussed about the box because I am going to keep mine out on the table as well
I thought that was strange too. I don't watch many craft programmes now but did want another look at the TSV and hoped it would be on this morning.

I am trying to stay strong as I already have the first Cropodile and I don't use that a lot but it has been very useful for lots of other things than craft. It is amazing how you start to feel that you need the TSV and then I keep thinking it'll cost more in the future. But I haven't got any work or pay for 2 months now so I cannot indulge myself and I want to treat the kids when we go on holiday to Cornwall.
Ha ha Bluebell, I really thought that I wouldn't get it either! That's the trouble with watching when one is tired! I have decided that I can live with pink because it is such good value with the extras.
I definitely WILL NOT be getting the case though!

I managed to sneak the 8pm show on while hubby was playing trains in the garage. He came in, saw it was on and rolled his eyes. Amazingly he realized what they were selling and said, 'It's only £23 quid - that's good'. I did mention about the P&P as well. Then they started going on about it being pink. I said if they had made it blue they would have sold more coz the female crafters would have bought it anyway but the blokes wouldn't feel embarrassed about using it. He replied that the only use he could think for it would be to punch holes in a belt and he could do that with a screwdriver. Nearly thought for a moment before that he was going to buy it for me! Oh well - maybe I should have said yes when he mentioned about buying some new train tracks this month.

Oh poor you ncot, so near yet so far! I agree about the colour as well- I don't see why they had to change it to pink.
I get the feeling that they didn't sell as well as they were expecting, by the evening they were begining to sound a bit desperate.

(or use them quickly, which isn't an option because I want plenty of drooling time)

Once I've got used to setting the gromlets (upside-down???) they'll be great for attaching flowers.

My packaging had the perforations to make it easier but the plastic is hard and jagged as you rip it downwards and I agree could give a nasty cut.
