I'm wondering if anyone has received, or has had any update on their Sizzix sale orders yet? I've never ordered from them before.

I hate waiting especially as this was my last crafty spend of 2009 with no more allowed before Feb ... just wondering when it will come and whether I will get all the items I ordered

I placed my order on 28/12 and they took the whole payment on 31/12 but my account just keeps showing it as "In Process" :(

Their newsletter says:

Due to the large number of orders we are receiving and the disruption caused by the current weather conditions, please allow up to 21 working days from the date of placing for your order to arrive. We will endeavour to get your order out as soon as possible.

I'm not really moaning cos the prices were fantastic ... I'm just suffering withdrawal symptoms and .... as I may have already mentioned .....

I hate waiting :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Probably the weather PP. Something for you to look forward to, but i hate waiting too. Hubby treated me to the Quickutz Epic Six from QVC; ordered it on Craft Day, it came but damaged. The chap picked it up yesterday so hopefully the replacement will be with me next week.

there is a huge thread about this on another forum So far they seem to be up to dispatch of orders made on boxing day and a lot of those are not receiving everything they ordered as many things were actualy sold out though not showing as such on the site. I ordered on the 28th and the money was taken the next day but my order is also still showing in progress. Don't think the order status means that much as some orders were still showing as in progress even after they had been received. Think it is going to be a bit hit or miss as to whether we receive what we ordered I hope the refund is quick if we dont!

Fingers crossed people don't have to wait too long, and that there are not too many items out of stock :)

I'm still waiting too, but I have ordered from their sale the past couple of years and most of the items have turned up in the end so I'm not concerned about it at this stage.

I can appreciate the logistics involved for Sizzix - it has taken me 7 long days of packing to get almost up to date with orders after the holiday period on my small site - they must have had hundreds of orders to despatch, if not more. Obviously they will have several people dealing with orders, but probably no more than for the rest of the year and they've only been back at work for 5 working days.

They quoted 2500 orders over the xmas period in an email to one poster on the other forum!

I received both my orders together (26th and 31st) which i was suprised about, all my 26th stuff was there but 3 items on the 2nd order not in stock.

My first order shows as shipped on their site but my second still shows as in progress so dont trust what the site tells you!

Seems as if there have been complaints about the thread on the other forum and it has been shut down! Dont know why as it was very useful to have the information from people.

One bit of useful info was the telephone number, the customer services number is an 0871 number and 10p a minute which I think is dreadful. However, when someone was called by them the caller id was 01978264555 and I used this to call them, gets straight through to customer services.

Hope that is of use.

Just emailed them for an update, suppose they will be too busy to reply! :(

Thinking about it (again) I will be really annoyed if I don't get the stuff I've ordered since they took the money on 31st December .... thought companies were not supposed to take payments before despatch anyway? :(

I'm fed-up! no parcels since last year! :(

I once had this happen before. I ordered some jeans from Next Basics and they were really cheap and tacky looking when they came, so I returned them. I was checking bank statements about 4 months later, when I realised they hadn't refunded me. So I rang them, and they said they only refund if the customer asks for their money to be refunded, otherwise they keep it and knock it off the next time you order. Needless to say I have never dealth with them again.

My order came today ordered on 28th. I got four out of 5 items. The snowflakes#2 was out of stock. I knew this as I rang earlier in the week and they offered replacement or refund. the letter i got said that they were sorry due to huge traffic on site there were some stock issues and gave a number to call for relacement or refund or that alternatively you could wait for them to call you once they have cleared the backlog. i ampleased with what I received though. Just checked and my credit card was refunded the day I spoke to them.

Sadly, due to having to pay for bliddy cooker I was unable to order from Sizzix this time around, although I have done on a couple of previous sales, and like you had to wait. But come on ladies................. 85% off!!! So what if it takes a few weeks to reach you. I do understand the frustration at not knowing what you might be getting and what you might have to do without but with the best will in the world they can't process things any quicker than the amount of staff they have to do it. Didn't it say earlier in this thread that they had 2,500 orders. That's approx a quarter of what QVC sell on a TSV and they have a HUGE warehouse and HUGE staff to cope with such things. Someone has to pick your order, pack it, weigh it, and then send arrange for a Courier or PO to send it. Add to that the fact that they may well have problems with their staff not being able to make it in due to the weather.

I do hope that none of you are too disappointed and that your stuff arrives as soon as possible, but give these poor people a break.

I agree LL the discount is so good it obviously attracts huge interest and orders. It obviously overloads their systems and causes a back log as as you say they will only have a certain amount of staff. I dont mind waiting and they have been pleasant and helpful on the phone when i have spoken to them so i personally have no complaints as the saving I have made has been great. I suppose some people are miffed cos if half their order is out of stock they are unhappy with the P&P charge but that was a risk I was prepared to take because of the savings.

 LL I included at the start of this thread:

"I'm not really moaning cos the prices were fantastic ... I'm just suffering withdrawal symptoms and .... as I may have already mentioned ..... I hate waiting"

- and I don't think it is too much for us to be discussing our outstanding orders, especially as payments were taken immediately, and the company has not seen fit to update customers about the delays (unless they are signed up for the newsletter).

As you have said this isn't their first sale so surely they know what to expect regarding the volume of orders?

I don't mind waiting for anything (I've got the patience of a saint :o ) but I do like to know what's going on, after all it is my money! :(

I wasn't having at go at anyone in particular Purplepig, just pointing out that they would be struggling to get the orders out in timely fashion. As for the payments being taken immediately, maybe that is how the financial software works, and if when you checked out the website thought it had the stock, it would not be unreasonable to charge you for it immediately. Let's face it, a lot of us STILL shop with Create and Craft and we know full well that they take the money the second you make the order and sometimes hang on for weeks before either sending out the goods or telling you they are out of stock. More often than not they know they don't have stock and still take your money for an order.

In reality, when they said it will take 30 days to refund your money, they are only covering themselves in case it gets jammed somewhere. In practice I expect you will find it takes a couple of days only.

If I had ordered, I would be sitting here just as anxiously as you all are. Last year, remembering the year before I gave myself a good talking to and tried to put it out of my mind. I remember feeling the same with the Graphicus sale last year, and I didn't get a third of what I ordered there either.

As for them knowing what to expect, fair comment, but how else can they organise things. If they had to employ extra staff for a short burst of work then surely those costs would be reflected in less savings for us the consumer. Strikes me the devil and the deep blue sea spring to mind as to where they are positioned.

As for whether or not you can discuss orders, outstanding or otherwise, of course you can. I was just trying to put another perspective, which presumably I am also entitled to do..... :D:D

I have to say in their defence that the lady I spoke to on the phone was most understanding and apologetic. One thought, if the whole sale hadn't been publicised on here and no doubt on other forums the whole mega ordering thing would not have happened. I'm still glad I took the risk. Good value even paying P&P for just one item.

I get the distinct feeling I am being told off, but then I am sure I must be reading it wrongly. I think it must be because what I was trying to say has been misunderstood. 'I was not having a go' was an explanation, not a criticism.

It is a forum, everyone is entitled to comment, whether they bought goods or not, and yes, you are correct if I had ordered I would be sitting here chewing my nails down to the quicks in anticipation of receiving or not, my goods. As to whether or not I would be so understanding, yes I like to think I would.

If a company were seeking to deliberately deceive me or defraud me then I would be the least understanding person on the planet, but this is an exceptional circumstance and I just felt it was starting to look as if people were getting upset with Sizzix, perhaps a little unfairly. All I was trying to do was give a different point of view. Obviously, as I had not shopped with them on this occasion it was an invalid one.

Hi

Hope more of you have had your orders now.

I didnt have a problem with having to wait for my order and I dont have a problem with stock not updating properly if 100 people are trying to order something they only have 10 of in a short space of time, thus resulting in 90 disappointed people. What i have a problem with is someone ordering something on 27th Dec and finding out on delivery that it was out of stock, BUT that same item was showing as IN STOCK on 31st Dec and available for me to order.

Now, are they telling us that it is acceptable that their stock levels didnt update for 4 days???????????

That is what i have an issue with.

I also cannot understand why they would start such a big sale, and it wasnt as if they hadnt been through it before, when noone was in the office until Jan 4th!!!!!!!!!

I am sure they would have been able to forsee problems occuring - or did they do that on purpose because they didnt want to deal with all the frustrated customers not being able to order online?

When i have spoken to cust. services they have been lovely and they must be having a nightmare dealing with everyone disappointed BUT that doesnt help the above points.

You have some very valid points there.

About their stock levels updating. Maybe that is reliant on someone actually keying in some info? There are all sorts of financial software and web software available, maybe their's is not completely automatic.

How about this for rotten service. I ordered a camera from Look Again on 13th December. It was slap bang on the front page of their website advertising itself in a HUGEEEEEE banner and offering to save me a tenner. I rather fancied a new camera as my hand has started shaking very impercetably but enough to show up in close work photos, such as cards. I was hopeful a newer camera might have better control. Anyhow, I digress. So I ordered said camera.

A week goes by and no sign of it so I call them. I am assured the matter is in hand and it will arrive in time for Christmas. I ring again on the 22nd December to be told their last day for delivery for Christmas was on 20th December! As it's still showing as 'being processed' I am unlikely to get it.

Finally on 4th January I log online and check my account to see that the camera is now cancelled! I figure they have had more orders than they had cameras and have just cancelled it. I am unhappy because I would have had a few days more sale in which to choose an alternative and they didn't bother to let me know, nor I suspect would they have done. So I open up their camera section and what do I find....... my cancelled camera under a new catalogue number.

I rang and asked what was happening and they said it must have changed it's number (like it had a mind of it's own, lol) for inclusion in the new catalogue.

I re-order it under it's new number and here we are 13th January and still no sign of it. Still showing as 'being processed', still no communication as to what's happening. Now admittedly I haven't parted with any money for this, so I am not out of pocket, but Look Again are a huge multinational company surely they can do better than this.

I am now at the stage, if it comes it comes and if not, well I wont be having to find the money to pay for it.

mY parcel was through the letter bocx when I arrived home I ordered 4 items (2 alphas and 2 die sets) but only received 3 as one of the alphas not there so assuming it was out of stock I am happy that I received the other 3 though as it is still a great saving and I believe still worth the p&p I will give it a week to see if the refund turns up for the £3.82 they owe me No note though just a delivery docket which lists the 3 items received but then has 4 underneath so not quite sure what that means. Order still shows as in progress on the sizzix site

I don't understand how they are going to keep track of what has been sent out on these orders and what hasn't  it all sounds a bit hit and miss

They seem to have computer access to what is going on but the advice note I got with my one die (part order) was very odd. Cost shown was less than that on the site and no P&P that is why I thought the remainder of the order might come separately but that was not the case.

Much as I like their prices I'm not sure I will bother to order again.

I ordered mine on the 28th too. However I phoned on 5th and added to my order. Hope that doesn't mean I have to go to the back of the queue. How did your parcels arrive, by Royal Mail or courier?

budgie

Don't think they have a queue. They are not being sent out in date order.

Yay! I had an email sent just after 5pm last night to say that my parcel was being sent out with DHL .... can't wait to see what I get (or don't :( ) .... order status hasn't been updated though.

Very strange system they have, especially if they have done it like this for the past two years

Thanks for all your continued updates it has made interesting reading! :)

That's a good point, some could be making a nice profit! I still can't understand how they can sell the stuff so cheap ... 85% off is ridiculous ... but very nice if it arrives ;)

I have just received my parcel! Got most of what I ordered. Only received one set of alphabets (ordered 3 sets) but I'm very pleased with everything and the savings made it really worthwhile! Off now to have a play. Hope everyone who's waiting gets theirs soon.

Tempted to keep an eye on the site in case of further bargains. I wouldn't order anything I needed urgently though

I have just rang and spoken to a fed up sounding lady! She told me that my order is still in the queue and it takes up to 21 days. I asked her if she could tell me if the items I ordered are in stock, and she tells me that only 2 out of the 5 are in stock, but she has no idea when they will be despatched.

They were doing orders from the same day as I ordered days ago, so I don't know why mine hasn't been done yet. At least one of the alphabets I ordered is in stock, so will be worth waiting for in the end.

I reckon they are working their way through the warehouse from the door inwards so if your goodies are nearest the door you get a delivery. Really not on Budgie. I know I ordered my stuff after you.

My parcel (28/12) arrived late this afternoon.

Almost half my order was out of stock which is really disappointing :( but looking on the bright side at least I haven't spent as much as I though I had :D

I'm pleased I got some of the bargains - think my favourite is the sizzlits teddy in a t-shirt for 59p!

They enclosed a delivery docket listing everything in the parcel, there were no prices apart from a figure at the bottom which doesn't seem to mean anything (I'll work it out later)

No list of the out of stocks, just a covering letter saying to allow approx. 7 working days from receipt of your items, for the refund.

I really hope you all get your outstanding orders soon, I'm relieved my wait is over now apart from the refund!

Not sure I'd bother again, even though the prices were great .... I like to know what I'm getting .... and when! :D

my delivery docket just showed £2 next to the item. Should have been £3. No P&P shown, no covering letter. Rest of delivery docket had some gobbledegook which was probably part of an internal memo! Not impressive at all really

Got mine this morning and am not happy. Like everyone else I just had a figure for the price of the 3 small items I ordered which came to more than they should. The alphabet was out of stock and no mention of the 2 items I added to my order. One of them is still showing as being in stock so why wasn't I sent it? I have sent an email asking them to explain

I did have a little look through the clearance last night out of curiousity and noticed that some items that were in the mega sale were available, but at much higher prices - still less than the original price but not ridiculously cheap as before

So they are raking in a whole load of orders that they have no hope or, more likely, intention of fulfilling but have got themselves access to our dosh for a good two months. Legal, probably, but not good for customer relations

Just had an email from them. One of the two items was out of stock. I knew that already. They will be refunding £2.45 within the next few days. So I have ended up paying nearly £9 (because of P&P) for one very small embossing/cutting die.
Edit. Went back onto their site to check. My die was £4, P&P £4.95 Sounds like C&C all over again

Personally I think they are a lot worse than C&C!

I've sent Sizzix an email, had an automated reply but not expecting any more. Wish now I had asked CraftyRich to try to get hold of the item for me. It was out of stock on his site.

I've had two emails today, one to tell me my when my order was dispatched and the other is a list of the O/S and refund amount.

I think they must be trying to catch-up with themselves now.

Wonder if all orders have been received now?

My reply from them stated that nothing else had been added to my order. However I looked on-line at my credit card statement and the money for the extra 2 items was taken out on the day I phoned. Have just sent another email telling them. Like you Craftycat I spent £5.05 (yes P&P seems to have gone up!) on P & P for items costing a total of £3.59. I certainly wouldn't have ordered of I'd known the outcome.

Yay, bit more like it. I have had an email saying sorry I was unhappy with the service Sizzix had provided. They are repaying half my P&P. I am happy enough with that but it is a shame it had to happen in the first place.
