Hello All,
Can anyone tell me what thickness/weight of card is ideal for die cutting machines both for dies and embossing folders/brass stencils please?
Thank You.

I have a digital cutter, and have to set (and test) for each card, but logic tells me the more detailed the hard the thicker card would be to get it right
For dry embossing by hand you need card, again not the heaviest for the more detailed stuff, but too light and you run the risk of putting the embossing tool through the paper
As to more exact figures, I think a bit of trial and error
I don't think there's a definitive answer to your question, Jan, as it all depends on what look you're wanting to achieve. For embossing I normally use either plain or pearlised paper, although in the Cuttlebug TSV demos they were also using mirri board, parchment, and acetate. The only cutting that I've done with my Bug has been with nestabilities, and I've used 230gsm card and I've also used DCWV glitter card. Hope this helps. :)

Thank you both.
The 230 you mention is a good starting point for someone who has absolutely no idea, LOL.
I too have an electronic cutter but I'm having issues with it at the mo, LOL.
