I don't often buy from C&C anymroe but last week I did, having not received my items I have checked my account on-line and found this:
Order Summary
Product Quantity Price Order Status Estimated Delivery Date Courier Information
Distressed Inks Set of Three (2 Variants - Warm & Cool) 1 £9.48 Invoiced 26/08/2008
Santa Plate 1 £7.16 Invoiced 26/08/2008
Angel and Fairy Plate 1 £7.16 Invoiced 26/08/2008
Christmas Accessories Plate 1 1 £7.16 Invoiced 26/08/2008
Christmas Accessories Plate 2 1 £7.16 Invoiced 26/08/2008
Robert Addams Christmas Backing Papers CD Rom 1 £9.77 Invoiced 26/08/2008
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sub-Total: £47.89
Postage & Packing: £59.40 Total: £107.29
This of course, is all nonsense!
I then checked my CC statement to find they have taken an extra £37.37 on top of the £57 pounds which my order came to! I have called India and been asked to sent my CC statement to Peterborough as there is no record of this mystery deduction!
Oh and the guy in India said the website order part was not to be trusted as they up-dating their systems right now!
There you go then, watch what money they take from your account - very carefully! I am now truly ****** off and will not be ordering from them ever again (I mean it this time)!!!!
Incidentally - the P&P from Jersey is £9.90 (even when free in UK) and the prices have VAT and member discount deducted. It looks like P&P of £9.90 has been charged to each item - at least they haven't charged me £107 or I would be really cross!

Well they owe me £37.37 - and it's all in writing - if I get no joy this week, I will write to my CC company!

I have complained twice to my cc company and each time they have been very helpful. Norton recently charged me nearly £60 for a renewal I hadn't asked for and this was refunded within 2 days. I think if you get the cc company asking questions they get answers much quicker than you can. I hope you get that sorted out because that is an outrageous amount for postage.

Try this ROC, it helped me some months ago over a dispute that ran for about 9 months, they owed me a discount I never got. Crafttelly posted this email address:

I don't know if the guy is still with IW but worth a try. I got a phone call from a very helpful lady and got it all sorted out; I think this guy is one of the Big Shots!!!

What a shambles they are, that they dont know what they charge people is unbelievable and the fact they are telling you the website is not reliable is also unbelievable but then we are talking ideal world here say no more.

Sorry you are having problems ROC. You should be able to get your money back from your cc provider. It's IW's loss in the long run as they just lose your custom (they've just lost mine for a second time as I am having problems with their shambolic cs too). No wonder they have to have all these free p&p events to draw people back. They would be better off trying to sort out their systems and customer service (I thought they said ages ok they were bringing it back to the UK, but they don't seem have done so).

Thanks guys, they own me £37.37 - not that you can tell from the website - I have sent them a letter with all the back up docs, I am prepared to wait a week for a response.

Sorry to hear about this ROC. I hope you get it sorted out quickly. They are an utter shambles and I can't believe they think this is any way to run a business. :(

Well there's a possible result ROC :) Fingers X'd. And I agree with Dips, would be class if you got several refunds as well :D
When I was earwigging that dealer talking about IW the customer also said she prob wasn't going to renew her club membership cos whatever she might have saved with the 10% discount has been outweighed in postage costs for returning incorrect items...
--- edit ----
PS, out of curiosity & at the risk of getting you all mad again ;) have you actually recieved your ordered items yet?

Yes I got my order very quickly Welly - if they give me several refunds this will leave me with a moral dilemma:rolleyes: I think I would get them to call my mobile (premium roaming) and then reiterate the problem several times, ask their names and address several times and ask them to write me a letter, which may be dealt with in 21 days!
Yes, mine both received last week (clearance feathers and yummy new velvet ribbons).
