I have mostly been doing the usual - watching some C&C...well quite a bit actually & I made up some more badly cut decoup cards last night while MM launched her Foxy Faries.
And then I purchased the rather lovely vine embossed cardstock & the gold embossed vellums
Oh, yes, & I kept checking were you all where

What does everyone think to the Foxy Fairies??? I've found myself really liking them I'm soooo tempted, it's just the amount you get that's putting me off :(

Hi Flowerpot! I'm afraid I'm all fairyed out, there were two lots of fairies on Sunday (and I'm not talking presenters here) then again today - and I'm not that into them (although I did buy the Fairy Princess kit on extravaganza - even though I really don't like Michelle Marsden).
I wonder how this event is going for them - surely even the most avid crafter can't buy 5 PODs on successive days - or can they?

I'm not too keen on them TBH (not too much of a shock there LOL)...I can't get over them offering such similar kits on these '7-day deal' things.
As posted elsewhere, I do rather like all the up-sells that have been on with the Foxy Faries though & got the vine embossed card (pearl & matt) plus the gold embossed vellums. I bought those really cheap glitter vellums & papers a while back...
Isn't there another MM kit on tonight?

My house thanked me, as I caught up with lots of jobs round the house. ST came back yesterday, so I caught up there. Craft telly was still not back this morning so have caught up with bookkeeping. Must get on with card making as so far I have got an 18th, 21st and 50th birthday cards to make and two special anniversary cards but that does not include the card group birthdays.

I did some scrapping at the weekend with a friend and her daughter - we've been putting together an album for her mum's 70th birthday, which is tomorrow. I'll post a few pics when we're back to normal. I've done more pages in the past few weeks than I had done in total, previously! :D
My friend's daughter enjoyed die cutting some flowers & doing some embossing with cuttlebug folders in the Big Shot. We also did some flowers with large HOTP brads with rub ons as the centre, which I hadn't tried before. I opened a cupboard at one point to look for some card, & she said there was more in there than in her school's art cupboard :o
When putting the album together, I used extra page protectors from another album, but realised rather late in the day that it really needs some post extenders. So of course I went shopping online for those and ended up spending a fortune on other stuff too - I bought the K&Co blue awning speciality paper pad & some rub ons, some other papers, Christmas ornaments cuttlebug embossing folder and a couple of packs of die cut paper flowers from K&Co, as I was in a floral mood
Most of it arrived today, but of course I'm still waiting for the post extenders

well, thanks to Matilda & Jeanette, yesterday I made some Diamond cards - a springy one and diamond topped one, purely for practice.
Like Lorraine I got some housework done today!
Feeling a bit lost really, CT went down the same time as OH went away :( He's back early hours tomorrow, I'm a softie ~ miss him loads! AND no CT to moan on!
Anyhoo, *very* glad to be back.

I've been watching lots of c&c but I lost the will to live, especially as the Cricut show wasn't very inspiring.
Quite like the midsummer kit but as I've got lots of other similar kits I'm definitely waiting this time til they get reduced. Especially as you now only get 32 cards rather than 40. Same with the foxy fairies, they look great for teenage cards but not at that price!
I finally succumbed to the colour dimension peel offs and pack of 3 scissors but that was it.
I can only wonder at how non-crafters feel about craft week if even us seasoned crafters are getting fed up with it already!

Know the feeling well of hubby being away, as he usually is during the week. I am a bit on edge ATM as we are wondering when hubby is getting a new contract (his existing one runs out THIS Friday), Ill really start panicking if he has got no work by about the third week in July.

Thanks Von & Lorraine, didn't realise we had so many 'away' OH's!
I hope a new contract comes through for your hubby Lorraine.
Working in theatre we are constantly looking for work so take it in turns. I'm actually the main earner at the mo, but have an understanding boss who has let me have odd nights off for the mini tour OH is doing! Next week is the last week, he's away Weds to early hours Sat!
When we first got together he went on tour for 3 months and we both hated it! We're a couple who like to "be together"! pass the sick bag!
Jeanette, a picci will happen in a couple of days, I picked the first bit of card I could find and it was green, so I raided my BP stash (it's the one that was on QVC today!) and I think it's turned out quite well!

LOL now this had me laughing because it reminded me of quip made about my friend Jess..... the topic was "long distance relationships"..... the quip was ....... "that for Jess the idea of her having a long distance relationship was her upstairs while hubby is downstairs"......
It's totally true too....she won't even set up a crafting space in her spare room, preferring to craft downstairs in the kitchen so she is nearer to hubby who is watching telly in the living room :D

This is so lovely hearing that romance isn't dead after all!
Sadly I'd rather be in the next town than in the same room as OH at times, I love the summer as he goes fishing all day rather than getting under my feet or hogging the tv.
