Hi guys, I have really enjoying watcing the mini albums tutorial by Marion Smith on you tube (you can find them easily by looking for scrapbooking mini albums). In one of them she mentioned using a certain kit from a certain US site, and when I googled it, I realised it was a monthly subscription kit. The photos of the past ones left me in total lust. So, I've browed the net and I have discovered that quite a few British companies offer these subscription kits too.
I am tempted, because as a beginner, I find that I have spent lots of money buying lots of beautiful stuff, but when it comes to matching it all up, well... it doesn't! Even when things were bought to be used together I often realised that I had misjudged how well things would 'go' together. So, I like the idea of an experience designer putting together papers and embellishments for me. So, I was wondering if any of you has subscribed to any of these kit companies and what do you think? is there any web site in particular that you would recommend? Are they good value? As ever, thank you so much in advance! :flower:

s.s. I have never bought any monthly kits, but I know what you mean about colours and matching.
My fav scrapbook site is this one http://www.thecraftzboutique.com/catalog/index.php they have monthly kits on offer.
I do use a lot of digital scapbooks sites these days. I can usually find things to compliment the theme I am doing. I just pay, download and print off. Brilliant!!!

Thanks Juliet for the endorsement of the craftz boutique. Their monthly kits are among the most affordable, although I wish they took better pics of the kits, as they are a bit dark and I can't quite work out the colours.
Yes, Scrapagogo still do monthly kits Rentochops, you can find them here (http://www.scrapagogo.co.uk/index.php). Lots of bright photos there!! Have you ever used them?

I thought that HOTP did these and you could also get them in the UK. If you like HOTP stuff, Fabyon will hopefully be able to advise whether this is still available.

Do Scrapagogo still do their kits?
Update on the Scrapagogo subscription kits: they most definitely still do them, and I have bought the March one as a one-off purchase to see what I make of them and if I think they are good value so I can decide if I want to subscribe. I quite like the look of the March one, which you can see here (www.scrapagogo.co.uk/shop.php?pr=66).

that looks lovely, trouble is it would be all my budget for the month...so none left for retail therapy elsewhere

I used to get the Scrapagogo kits and had them for nearly two years. The kits are fantastic they contain all the latest products and papers from USA, each month I couldn't wait to open the big yellow box and look at the goodies. The problem I had is that the months came by really quickly and before I knew it I had loads of yellow boxes stacked up and I hadn't used them so regretfully I cancelled my membership in order to catch up - and dare I admit it I still haven't worked my way through the kits yet. It comes with a monthly newsletter with ideas on how to use the kit with a teaser on what is due next month and you can also pay extra for a small embellishment kit to go with the month's designs. On the website you can access pages to see what other people have done with the kits and they also run scrapbooking weekends.

another great site that sells kits is Sarah's Cards (http://www.sarahscardsltd.com/shop/249/1462/335/index.htm). I've never subscribed but lots of my friends do and their kits always match and contain loads of bits that aren't readily available
