As we go rushing towards April and the due date for the release of the Sizzex Alterations dies just gotta tug on the bottom of your jacket and ask firstly will you be getting them in Rich and then, if the answer is yes, WHEN.
I think I've been sooo patient but now I'm beginning to feel Kathy Bates like (Misery) Tims number one fan and again he's keeping me waiting!
Please Rich answer the sensible part :mysmilie_454:

The answer is most definitely YES, we have the complete range pre-ordered. As to the when, we were actually planning on calling them tomorrow for an update so fingers crossed.

Just a word of warning on Sir Tim of Holtz's dies. I read somewhere, I think it was craft obsessions, that they DON'T work in the cuttlebug!!! Not sure if it's all of them or just the ones that Craft Obsessions got into stock a couple of weeks back; but anyone with a bug needs to check out if they work before buying them. Perhaps the lovely Rich could read the packaging fully, when he gets them in, and report back here for us?

I probably deserve that :mysmilie_501:
To be honest, unless Sizzix have developed a completely new size of die, and a special adapter plate to go with it I don't see why any of the new dies wouldn't work in a Cuttlebug. When we saw them at the trade show I can't recall them looking any different to the normal sizzix dies...but I've been wrong before!

I couldn't either Rich, but it definitely said on the Craft Obsession website that they didn't work in the bug.

I hadn't come across these dies so thank you for introducing them to me they look beautiful. As I didn't know what they were I looked them up and came across this youtube tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MldEgWi7CNo It shows the dies being used in a cuttlebug.

Good find Gracesgran. Hopefully I'll find out tomorrow when we get the first batch of dies and then we can all have a play

I've got some of Tim's new dies and they work brilliantly in my cuttlebug.

Good news they work in the Cuttlebug. Will you also be getting the extra long cutting plates for the Cuttlebug in Rich? I think I read somewhere that they'll be out in May - not too long to wait now.

I'm wondering if it was a misprint on their website when they first got the alterations dies in because at that time it definitely said they didn't work in the cuttlebug. Now it reads that the extended cutting plates are required and they do work in the bug.

I think you'll only need the extended cutting plates for the longer dies. The dies I've used so far in my cuttlebug I've used the 2 B plates only with it and that works fine for the dies that are the same size as the bird and cage.

The Bird in Cage die looks like a normal Bigz Die and those definitely work in the Bug. Up to now the only Sizzix dies that didn't work in the Bug was the Bigz XL dies so that makes sense but as oldscrapper points out, Provo Craft have finally twigged and are bringing out a set of extended plates. We will definitely be stocking these as soon as they are available as we have them on pre order. I think they must send stuff across the Atlantic in a rowing boat the speed we seem to get it :sleepy:

The first batch of dies are in the UK and Ellison have confirmed what we have been allocated to us from that batch. With any luck they may be here before the end of the week. It's mainly the On The Edge dies at this stage. The next container is due in a couple of weeks so we should get the rest of the range from the 15th April onwards :mysmilie_500:

Oh my you rotten lot stop tempting me,:cheeky: I,m sure if my addiction gets any worse Hubbie will be sending the boys :muscle:round to Rich's
He only said yesterday he hopes you don't open a shop or his weekends will be spent running me up the A10, now I think that's a brill idea as now your are the only local crafty place near:rock:

Jan, tempting you has actually become a hobby of mine
AND...
The On the Edge dies do indeed have a new set of plates to go with them but after speaking to Ellison it seesm that the only difference is that the On the Edge dies are half the width of a standard Bigz die and so these plates just match the dies. There doesn't seem to be any reason why you couldn't just use the standard plates with them and also there is no reason why they would not work in the Cuttlebug.

Tis the labels I'm after, so gotta keep the fingers crossed then and big hopin' going on here!
They certainly can be used in the Bug, no probs. They are no different to any other Bigz dies in size or performance and there was a previous thread on here about their compatibility with other cutting machines.
(spoiler alert)
I've got the flowers and they are to die for (d'ya like the awful pun?):mysmilie_520:
Oh and I'm sorry Rentachops didn't mean to worry you there, bit like Mark Twain eh? :giggle:

Mothership, the Bigz dies are all in the April container I'm afraid so won't be here until the 15th April onwards. Can you wait another couple of weeks?

I'll do my very best Rich but having used the Tattered Florals and I'm finding just how much they will do I must have more! It's a bit like an addiction.
I'm sorry to have weakened and got this from elsewhere but the chance came up and I jumped at it. :emo: So far I've used it on cardboard/chipboard on fabric and felt, made a nice distressed brooch. The smallest of the blooms is just sooo like Prima's I think I will save a fortune on embellishments. :mysmilie_481:
Sooo girls buy your Tattered Florals from Rich, you seriously will not regret it. :mysmilie_85:
Right back to the Bug, it should have cooled off by now!

We were promised this delivery before Easter but it never arrived. I've just found out from Ellison that despite the sales rep telling me she'd done it, it was never released
It's now been released so hopefully will be here Monday.
