I wonder if anyone has the answer to this question (fingers crossed!):

What do you need to use the Cuttlebug folders in the Wizard Die Cutting Machine (raspberry one)?

I've got the 2 thick plates that came with the Wizard, the magnetic spacer pad, the white thin spacer mat, and the brown embossing pad. I can't get a Cuttlebug folder with paper in it to go through the machine using the 2 thick plates. I've tried other sandwiches, but none seem to do the trick.

I've read somewhere about needing a blue mat - I presume that's the one you need to squash the bottle tops, but I'm not sure.

I'd appreciate any comments/advice. Thanks.

I got this info from the Joanna Sheen's site, as I don't own a wizzard the instructions are as clear as mud to me but hope they are of some help to you.
use the thick Base mat, cuttlebug folder with card, black rubber mat, thin white plastic mat(same size), brown rubber mat(stopped the plastic mats slipping), then the other larger thin square mat. I did NOT use the other thick Emboss mat! No struggling or fighting or naughty Wizard!

I just use the two thick white plates Victoria. I put the folded end of the folder through first as it's a bit thinner. I did the same with the old style plates too, but now I have the new ones it goes through even easier as they are bevelled at the ends. You get a really deep emboss using them with the Wizard.

I've just noticed you have the raspberry one. My machine is the old purple one. I don't know if that makes a difference.

Just had a look on the Spellbinders' website and it is different. It says white master mat, tan embossing mat and blue embossing mat.

They have a compatibility chart you can download here (http://www.spellbinderspaperarts.com/faq-die-compatibility/).

THANKS Little Jan and LynneH.

Looks like I'll have to get a blue embossing mat. The Cuttlebug folder won't ever go through the raspberry Wizard using the two white plates.

It's the Charm Embossing Kit thet you need to be able to use the Cuttlebug Embossing Folders in the Raspberry Wizard http://www.countryviewcrafts.co.uk/spellbinders-w-003-charm-embossing-kit-1089-p.asp

Maybe it was you who bought one this afternoon

I had the same frustration when I went to use my razzy Wizard and the CB lace tree folder - but once I'd bought the charm set (from you-know-who) it worked fine, with the blue mat in the sandwich! :clapping::clapping::whew:

Thanks CraftyRich for such a great service. Goods arrived safely. But I'll have to work today - I've got a deadline looming, so no playing till the weekend.
