I have no idea, it is to be hoped most cards stand up :D

I think it may be the type that have a base that looks a bit box like and the card stands on that like the ones Dawn dem'd on Sat night that I commented in another thread had been on Cac a couple of years ago I've seen a paper (jolly) nation stand alone bag card before
I could be completely wrong though

Hmmm, I suppose it is a bit marmite really. Having said that, I don't hate Jollynation, but I ain't much of a fan either. I wonder sometimes about maybe buying the stamps rather than the papers cos I like some of the characters, but they don't actually resemble anyone I know, so I don't buy them...

I like Jolly Nation and wonder if the tsv will include any of the Patchwork Kingdom stuff in it which is cute. I agree it's not for everyone.
I've managed to use quite a few of the last tsv and it's been perfect! I must know some funny people. :D

I had the last TSV and thought it was really good value. I liked the variation of the decoupage, stamps and shrink plastic.I have been able to use alot of the images for various friends and relatives and agree icebubble it would be good if there is some patchwork kingdom included. will certainly be looking to see.

What do you think they mean by 'stand up cards'?
I thought they meant the characters would be the likes of Peter Kay, Alan Carr, Ricky Gervais
You get my drift!

I quite like Jolly/Paper Nation, though am tiring of it a bit now. However, whenever I make them to sell for charity, they are always the first ones to go, so I guess I am going to be making them for a while longer.
Thanks for posting details of the TSV Corrine and Barney. I think Sugarplum is probably right in her guess as to what stand-up cards might look like. I do remember though when Paper Nation was first launched on QVC (about 3 years ago maybe?), one of the items they had in a promo brochure was a girl with a pony which was made up of half a dozen pretty solid layers using thick foam pads so she could stand up on their own, so that's another possibility.

The only problem with high rise decoupage, is that they are expensive to post. We wait and hope its to our liking (and in some cases wait till mid November in the hope it appears at Warrington).
Wonder whether by stand up, they could mean pop ups - only time will tell.

Thanks for the detective work Corrine and Barney much appreciated. :)
It sounds the same contents as the last tsv which was excellent value. I wonder if these decoupage sheets are all new ones and what the stamps will be. I think the last one was one of the best tsv purchases of last year but don't know if I will go for this one. Decisions, decisions Cosmo Cricket or this as I can't afford both. It would have swung it for me if they had included the Patchwork Kingdom animals.

LOL SueD :D
From the titles, they sound like new characters. And also I won't be interested :D Hurrah! More to spend at Foilplay & possibly C&C with free p&p depending on if they feel like reducing some of the Extravaganza prices further :D

if you go to the jolly nation website they show the new designs - through the decades - and mention that some of them will be on qvc next week. The tsv photo looks like a mixture of old and new characters.

From the photo it looks like the stamps could be acrylic ones as there appears to be an acrylic block. As you only get two of each decoupage design it doesn't matter as much if there are one or two you won't use, then again if there are some you love then you only have two.
I quite like some of the Jolly Nation things but I don't think I will be buying as I got two Cosmo cricket TSVs and a scrapbook set as well.

NO it will not be reduced as the qvc price is always something like .00, 25, 50, 75p something senisble and it will be reduced from about £39 to get it to that price

Hello, i'm new to this forum, but just looking for some advice. I really like the look of the jolly nation tsv. Think it will be a lovely kit to do with my kids. But i;ve never heard of shrink plastic before, would i need to buy one of those heat gun tools to do the plastic or can i use a hairdryer or something like that to make it work.
thanks

It's a great value kit (just watching the 1pm show) & if I liked JN I would have bought it like a shot. There are an odd one or two designs I can see my buying in the future - the new babies...
