I think the wardrobe people will be putting him in the skimpiest costumes ever. Well I hope so anyway! LOL!!!!!

I can't wait for it to start.

I'm not usually one for muscles and six packs, but I have to say my jaw nearly hit the floor when they showed him not wearing very much. :D

I missed the programme last night, will have to check out whose pecks you are fantasising about on the rerun later.

I shall have to try set record..... hubby is not into stuff like SCD and I guess I would be worried if he did want to see that 6-pack ;)

Quite liked the intro show, see what you mean about a certain competitor's little bit of nothing, reckon the ladies will be drawling. Out of the 16, there are four I think will go out weeks 1 2 3 4, only time will tell in what order. I think that Andrew Castle will actually move better than his predecessors from GMTV. As likeable as John Sargent is, I will be surprised if he stays in more than two to three weeks. Maybe wrong but I can't see Gillian Taylforth or Jessica Wallace lasting terribly long either. Heather Small should do well, provided she lets her partner lead.

Missed the intro show - I may have Sky+'d it though (haven't checked). Should be at my mum's for the first show proper this coming Saturday so I'm hoping to be able to watch it there (mum likes it too :) )

Don't forget the first proper show as opposed to the intro programme is on BBC1 tonight. Compulsive viewing for me (much to OH's disgust).

Please can I ask that if anyone finds out the results prior to the results show being aired on BBC1 on a Sunday evening that it is not mentioned or even hinted at here. Thanks.

My faves were John Sergeant and Don Warrington. I guess I just like seeing old men dance. :o

Tom Chambers and Austin Healy were obviously the best on the night, but I didn't enjoy Mark Foster (sorry dips) or Phil Daniels.

Why does Craig Revell Horwood have to be so rude? He is a professional, but his criticism isn't constructive, he is just rude.

For me by far the worst dancer was Phil Daniels, he looked plain terrified. I was pleasantly surprised by John Sergent's performance, but purely on looks, I think Mark Foster is going to be voted in week after week. Sorry Anne, but I thought Don Warrington was wooden.

Graham overrode this decision for the last series, as not everyone is a member of shopping telly too (or a VIP member which is the only way you can view threads on this). I am not asking to start WW3, so to cover all bases, IF YOU MUST discuss this, make it blatently obvious by the title that the thread contains spoilers, so its not spoilt for those that don't want to know.

Graham made this forum a spoiler-free zone during the last series Lorraine. I'm not wishing to start WW3 either, but it was you who was posting that you'd seen the results and although you didn't actually state the results you were alluding to them and giving away certain things about the results.

Graham overturned his decision, he did initially say this forum would be spoiler free but changed his mind, he has made no pronouncement about the current series; but I think we have to use our common sense.

We don't need Graham to "make a ruling". All that's required is common sense and to ensure that no-one spoils the enjoyment of other members before the results show is broadcast. It's not rocket science.

Exactly Anne, I hate being treated like a child, a ruling indeed !!!

Why would anyone spoil the enjoyment of others on here.

I think this year we will go for no spoilers till broadcast, however once the results show is broadcast feel free to discuss.

Thank god Simon Cowell said NO to the results on a Sunday for X Factor.

LorraineJ

Can't say fairer than that, I just wanted everyone to know where they stood. I am sorry my postings came over as trying to treat you like children, that was not my intention.

As for next weeks show, I reckon that Gillian Taylforth will be the first to experience Craig Revell Hawood's uncalled for nastiness. During the group dance, she went the wrong way and her partner pulled her back. She makes that sort of mistake next week, he will make no bones about sticking the knife in.

From the point of view of interest, I peeked on the SCD website and its all changed from last year. It would appear that the BBC have plugged the leak on the Saturday late show (to be broadcast on Sundays), or at least I couldn't easily find the spoiler, so that removes any temptation if I am right.

On the forum chat about it, many people have expressed annoyance at Craig only awarding one point and have called John Sargent's performance 'endearing'

A big thumbs up from me, Graham:) I do like to have a bit of chat about who might go, but I kind of think that this type of chat is spoilt is someone actually knows for sure what has happened.

And, just remember, if you've choosen not to watch live but recorded the show, then don't view the chat thread until you've caught up with your TV viewing if you don't want to know the result in advance!!!!!

PS - in case you hadn't gueseed - I voted for Fossy. Did anyone see that he was being cheered on by Rebecca Adlington?

Hurrah! I got to watch at mum's. Most prob won't get to see any more unless I record it cos it's broadcast at dinner/bed time for the kids.

Missed the Casualty bloke, but on his review clip for the phone numbers he looked to be moving very well -as was Austin Healey of course. BTW, did anyone think Brucie looked a little panicky when Tess was repeating the phone numbers that the sound had droped out on - he looked like he hadn't a clue what she was doing to me...

I thought John Sergeant was a revelation, but won't get past the faster dances. And as for the last dance - as my dad pointed out, the partner's costume (sorry, I'm terrible with any of the professional's names :o) was designed to utterly detract from her celeb  I was watching her backside wiggling for ages before I managed to drag my eyes away long enough to watch the actual dance LOL

PS - in case you hadn't gueseed - I voted for Fossy. Did anyone see that he was being cheered on by Rebecca Adlington?

Yep! A really quick shot of her...

And now I will have to wander off to find the results out. Still utterly annoyed that they split it up like this...

What did everyone make of the girls then? Generally speaking, I didn't enjoy it half as much as I enjoyed watching the male celebs last week. I thought Tess looked fabulous tonight. As far as the dancing went, my faves were probably Christine Bleakley, Jodie Kidd, and Lisa Snowdon. I didn't understand why the judges got so excited about Heather Small though. I'd like to see Jessie Wallace out this week, which is a shame as I like Darren.

Have to agree about Tess, LC, she is such a gorgeous-looking lady, very, very stylish. I liked Christine (plus it was one of my all time favourite tunes), Heather and Cherie - and this was all a surprise as I didn't think that they would do well. I think my least favourite was Gillian Talforth but I hope she doesn't go as I love Anton. John Sargeant was an absolute scream and did everyone click that Brucie was having a go at Nicole Cuttler and what she said in her kiss and tell in the NOTW a couple of weeks ago?

Agree with you on Jessie Wallace, to me she lacks finese. I thought Cherie Lunghi was truly elegant, it will be interesting to see how she performs the latin dances.

Julie

Darren is my fave male dancer. Thought Cherie did very well although maybe the Latin will be her undoing.

I thought Heather was going to faint or throw up during the judges scores.

Christine is a huge improvement on last weeks group dance, Lisa doesn't seem to be able to let go if that makes sense.

Rachel is little and pretty, sure she will do well. Didn't rate either of the Eastenders women, god you can tell I don't like them, I would have called them girls otherwise !

Who the feep voted for Jessie Wallace? She must have a very large family, because I thought she looked like a heffalump on the dance floor. Can't believe it. Felt really sorry for Gillian and Anton.

I don't think her costume did her any favours and yes she is a big girl and the costume excentuated it. She reminded me of a sparkly car wash brush and I didn't like her routine at all, but then I have never been her greatest fan.

Just watched it - I wasn't going to watch the fellas' group dance but as I fast forwarded John Sergeant appeared to be having a scream, so I watched.

Cherie Lunghi was indeed elegant. I think Jodie Kidd moved better than I thought she would - & I didn't have a problem with Jelly Wallace :D I didn't pay any attention to the one from SClub7 - too busy reading posts on here! Hmmm. Now I'm trying to remember who I thought looked as stiff as a board. Lisa Snowden? Could have been...

Not sure who I liked from the women. I'd had a few glasses of wine before watching the chaps last week, plus I was at my mum & dad's so I think I found it more entertaining.

Didn't really enjoy this week's show.

Just wondering what our Dips thought of Mark Foster's efforts this week. He deffo danced better in the dance-off, but I still thought it was pretty poor - maybe he is just too big?

I Sky+'d again & watched it later Saturday night - not as entertaining this week. But I'm still rooting for John Sergeant :D

So who did you enjoy dancing and who didn't you? For me Cherie Lunghi, Rachel Stephens and Christine Blakely were the best. I think Heather and Jessie should be in the dance off, but I am expecting poor Jodie to find herself in the bottom two again.

Well, I loved Rachel's dance, especially as the quick step is my favourite dance (followed by the American Smooth), I also liked Cherie and Heather but thought Jessie was not very good and I just can't warm to Lisa Snowden and Brendan (but I probably need to see them in Ballroom as I do prefer Ballroom to Latin).

I do so love this show!

BTW Anne, sorry, only just seen your note. I know that Mark's not turning out to be a natural at this, but I think he's doing very well for such a tall guy, and he's such a charming man!

He does come across as a lovely guy, but I just think he and Andrew both look so awkward. They ought to get a tall professional dancer in if they're going to book tall male celebs, so that they wouldn't feel the need to hunch over or stick their bottoms out!

This week I didn't like Heather's dance, and from what I could make out I didn't think Jessie did as badly as the judges made out although I did notice we didn't see much of Jessie's feet while they were dancing. I don't know what it is about Lisa Snowdon, but I find her a bit irritating too. I think it might be that she constantly seems to be looking to Brendan for reassurance.

I love strictly too.
Lovely as he is I do think it's daft how the public keep John Sergeant in. He was better this week, but please, he shouldn't be in the final at all. His partner is an amazing dancer though and seems a sweet lady.

It was a shame to see Cherie go this week.
I can't be doing with Lisa Snowden either. At every opportunity she has to drop the bit in about her going out with George Clooney. She just appears a bit false to me. She's well paired with Brendon. Although he does seem rather more professional and serious this series. Hasn't misbehaved at all putting extra lifts in or anything like he did previously.
