Surely we can set up a search between us all for another source of those gel shaker embellishments? I think we've tried when they had everyday ones on a while back

I've been very tempted by the pearlidoodles - liked the pastel one with the foxy faries & was weighing up the gold/silver/copper (pr bronze?) combo too. Not sure about these Christmas ones

If you can, try buying after 11pm when the show's gone off air, might be easier then - & now for my lesson in how to suck eggs :D

Welly, I searched everywhere last year when they did a pack of 12 and couldn't find them. I even went onto some international trade sourcing sites and zilch! However, if they are becoming more popular perhaps we'll be able to get them elsewhere. I really like this kit too, but I have sworn to never buy a POD but wait until it is on Extravaganza (and so far, every POD I've wanted has eventually turned up on Extravaganza).

After telling hubby with a straight face that I was cutting down I've place 2 orders with C&C - I really shouldn't be getting anything else. Apart from maybe that Keepsake board
Dips, you are quite right in waiting for Extravaganza prices, but I have a bad feeling about this Xmas kit - it's a little pricey, but also just different enough from all those badly cut decoup/MM/Mic kits they've had on recently to possibly just disappear
Marzipan
26-06-2008, 09:36 PM

I must admit this kit looks good and I'm resisting (at the moment). I'm waiting for Helen Johnson's Crafters Companion show tomorrow - she's demonstrating the Ultimate and I think they are doing a special deal on it. Part of me really wants it but my sensible head is telling me I already have the topscore multiboard and enveloper and a paper trimmer so I don't need it :D

I know, Welly, I also have a feeling in my bones on this one that it may go and ne'er return, but I have gone and bought the Big Bite tonight. Then there were the 2 Joanne Sheen CD's earlier this week plus the Laser Kit and the Fairy Princess......(plus the Gatineau TSV, I know it's not craft, but it is still £££s:rolleyes:)!

Oh dear, I love the kit too, it's very me (contemporary xmas). I can't, I've been bad this week and bought the fairy princess kit and another set of colour dimensions peel offs (well they were a bargain I couldn't leave them there). I've loved quite a bit of it this week, those embossed vines card/vellums have been calling to me but I'll wait and get a few sheets from ebay.

Hope you haven't gone for those pearlidoodles as they are cheaper from elsewhere. I googled them and found a place selling them for £1.99 a bottle with free p&p, so you could get 4 bottles for the same price as create and craft.

Ahem, I have been very very good I will have you know Ms Dips......
I have not bought anything for AGES....
and my last buy was because hubby MADE me do it....
he had this voucher from eBay you see...... and well it was due to expired and to my delight ..... err sorry I mean chagrin ..... hubby was unable to find anything he wanted to bid on or buy and there was only 1 day left to spend the voucher.....
and I just so happened to notice that someone was offering 6 brand new unopened Kaleidacolor ink pads for the bargain price of £14.99 + £3.95 shipping......
and with the £5 pound eBay voucher that meant a total price of ONLY £12.96 to pay......
and those ink pads are worth £7 quid each....... OK OK I exagerate... typically they retail at £6.95.........
but it would have been a crime not to spend the voucher now wouldn't it??????
and in fact I didn't buy them.......
HUBBY DID on his eBay account..... well he was the one with the voucher you see.........
but by my reckoning that means HE Bought them ..... not me... so I have been even gooder than I thought cuz that means its even LONGER since I bought anything
And that is MY story and I am sticking to it so there :p :p :p

erm well, storage boxes (5 - 12x12) and 5 -A4 as usual, then the new Papermania Xmas and Gardens papers and other bits (great chipboard bits), new Do Crafts mag...erm there's 10% off til Monday and they take my VAT off - couldn't be helped. Papermania have some nice new embellies, very Craftybitz....
oh and I'm going to buy those teddy bear stamps from Sharon's site....
I got paid yesterday can you guess - there were some distressing noughts on my CC today, thought they needed something to keep them company..

Papermania have relaunced themselves and promise good things, I know they are not for everybody but I still think the whole Do Crafts range offers great value for money!
They are distibuting for Basic Grey and Doodlebug as well, two of my fave brands (chekout the archaic Basic Gray range if you or your kids love dinosuars - I will post in the gallery, I'm going to do a bit of photography of my recent cards tomorrow.

I agree that PM do offer great value for money. I bought quite a lot from them when I first started. Sadly I haven't bought much from them since except 1 sheet of speciality vellum recently. I quite like the new speciality paper and vellum ranges. Hopefully they'll expand on them and maybe do some packs instead of individual sheets
