Can someone please tell me brands that are permanent and dye based, I've looked on the web and I'm so confused?

Thank You.

Is this any good to you Jan?

I guess a permanent dye based ink would come under the 'Waterproof Dye Ink' category?

(I have lots of links as I know nuffin' & have to research everything.....! lol)

Oooh, thanks KWC, I'll have to digest all that info, (if I can).

The reason I asked is that I've ordered some white embossed pearl paper from QVC, Dawn used an aforementioned ink pad to colour it and I thought it was lovely.
I've got some small pigment ink pads (!!!!!!!) which were part of a Christmas present. It's such a mine field.

If it's this paper:

......Dawn definitely said on the video she was using Tsukineko Memento ink to colour the paper. HTH

*sorry, just re-read post & realised you knew it was Memento! Doh!* What are yours then?

Hello KWC,

The little ink pads I've got have Ink It Up! on them, no idea who they're made by though.

Well, I might be wrong here Jan (so don't quote me or take it on absolute trust! lol) but I had a look on eBay & all the 'Ink It Up!' pads seem to have their pigment ink pads in white lettering & their dye based ink pads with lettering in the relevant ink colour so they might take quite a while to dry? HTH.

*OMG, I've done it again......you already said they were pigment pads didn't you? Sorry Jan, didn't have a very good night, feeling a bit 'slow' today.......I do apologise!* xx

LOL KWC, just had a look at the ones I've got and the lettering that says Ink It Up! is in black on the lids, no other writing on them (didn't keep the outer packaging).
At the time of opening them I thought an ink pad was an ink pad, LOL.

Jan, have you looked underneath the Ink it Up pads? Pretty sure my ink it ups have info there.

LOL first pad I bought for card crafting was actually the sort used for office stamping and hopeless!

Hello CC,

Absolutely nothing under the pads, they are only little, LOL, possibly an inch square, I wish I'd kept the packaging that may have helped, will know next time.

I don't know if it follows for the small sized pads but it used to be that the pigment pads had a clear lid and the dye based lids were white with yellow lettering.
I say "were" because, except for small pockets of availability, these are no longer around.
