I have never been a stamper because I could not produce stamped images that were good enough but with the help of rock a blocks I got perfect after perfect one so I have indulged myself and bought the Patchwork Polly set. The only thing is I don't want to use them until I am sure how to clean them - this will be really basic for long-term stampers but I wonder if you could give me some tips.

Stamps are easy to keep clean, usually a little soapy water and a scrub will clean them, also alcohol free baby wipes clean them easily too. I try to avoid stazon ink on my stamps, especially acrylic, but you can get special cleaner. Enjoy your patchwork polly stamps, they look lovely!

I use alcohol free baby wipes on all my stamps acrylic or rubber.

Thank you both. I can't believe how excited I am. Unfortunately I have too much work at the moment so they will have to wait 'til the weekend unless I can sneak an hour somewhere ...

So glad you have discovered a love of stamping I generally use baby wipes Though I do use a stazon cleaner sometimes on my rubber stamps (if I have used a solvent based ink) but I have been known just to stamp a few times on scrap paper after stamping my image which usually takes most of the residue ink off the stamp (lazy sugarplum)

Gracesgran, I'm just starting too; and I'm also a wee bit excited, I was worried, and I'd spent a good while working out which baby wipes were alcohol free, so I asked this lot; it's the Johnson's ones to be safe

Thank you all. Have just looked up the cleaner on Ebay. We really should all be selling craft items to crafters - we would make a fortune! I like the old toothbrush idea; it just seems to make sense. Thank you all for the encouragement too.
