:mysmilie_501: I know I need to go into the stupid corner but before I go please can someone tell me how to address someone in a private message. Do you just use the CT username (does it need any kind of @ bla bla bla like email after the username)

I thought I'd sent a PM to rainbowwand re the May swap, but it isn't appearing in my sent box

Thanx

nothing ever appears in my sent box either

I just do a top line title and then go to the main bit and type what I need to say

Oh okay, thanks RW & M - maybe there is a setting somewhere on sending new messages that switches on the sent mail.

As it was first one I sent I wasn't sure i'd addressed it ok.

Oh Loopy, this has cheered me right up I thought at first you were asking for help with PMS!!!!!

So I should be joining you in the stupid corner methinks for not reading something correctly.

Loopy, when you've clicked on Send new message and typed your message, if you scroll down (beneath the post icons), you have the following options...

Miscellaneous Options

* Request a read receipt for this message
Allows you to see when the message is read by its recipients

* Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder.

* Automatically parse links in text

* Disable smilies in text

... so you can choose to save a copy of the message in your sent items and, if you request a read receipt, then click on Track Messages, you will be able to see when the recipient received the message. Hope that helps :happy:

Looby, I'm glad it cheered you up. Funnily enough I have only just come back from my last visit to the stupid corner following the paper pricking - paper picking misreading incident. :giggle:

Mmmmm if you are coming anywhere near the stupid corner, (and if you happen to have a rubber stamp and ink pad in your handbag) maybe you could share some rubber stamping hints and tips :mysmilie_845:

you can add me in too, I'd no idea I could get a read receipt, I get an email with any pm's to me in them and say for the birthday swaps I've copied and pasted and organised my lists from the email, and leave the original sitting in my inbox all "safe and unopened" I must have had Rainbowwand and LoobyLou worried, if so I appologise oddles
