This is the replacement card I've had to make for DS's friend's mum - after telling everyone for the last 5months that the bump was a girl, he turned out to be a bouncing baby boy! That's the last time I make a gendered new baby card before the birth LOL :

This one is the the card made with SIL last Friday for her to give to her sister. If the bump turns out to be a boy, it's nothing to do with me. I made the card under her instruction for composition & colour. I have to say I think I'd have personally included more detail, but this is what SIL was happy with:

Detail of bow holding the silver mirri card box together:

That's a very apt use of the word "surprise". :D

Love the ribbon with the little feet on it, and the washing line peeloffs are sooooo cute. :)

Lovely cards Welly, and I'm another who was chuckling at your use of the "surprise" word.... I guess you couldn't find one that said "shock". ;)

I just saw the proud mum of the bouncing baby boy (well snoozing actually) at school. DS's mate wanted to know why they were going to Toys R Us "Cos I've got a pink cot set & some other pink stuff to take back..." Ooops
