Right, that's it. I've been watching Glenda on a pre-record (Glimmer with...) & I decided I'd really like to have one of those large brushes she uses for applying & blending ink direct to paper. I fancied one ages ago, but I always forget & watching the show this afternoon just reminded me again. I have now spent half an hour browsing various well known sites (Graphicus, Stamp Man, Stamp Bug etc) for a similar item with stuff all results :(

I'm assuming it's a kind of long-handled stencil brush, but the bristles seem quite soft whereas the stencil brushes I've come across so far are the short, fat, stubby, stiff-bristled ones that would be used (I assume) for a stippling effect, rather than a softer blending effect.

I've seen Glenda & Lynn using these brushes a few times & like the effect of softening & colouring the card edge with them, cos I always cock up running an ink pad directly around the edge

Welly Joanna Sheen sells the Judikins colour dusters... I have a set of them.....they will do the job for you - they look kinda like men's shaving brushes.

In case you can't find them on the JS site here is the link :

Have fun ;)

Oooh they look nifty, Phree :)

I don't do much stamping, but I did run an inkpad round the edge of some text panels for my Egypt scrapbook. Trouble is, as they had deckled edges, I ended up gouging holes in the inkpad (fortunately only one of those tiny Anna Griffin ones)

Thanks for the link Phree :) Oh my Gemcrazynan! That site might be a tad specialist for me LOL I don't have a clue what sort of bristles these brushes have/should have...

I do have some good stipple brushes, but I quite often use makeup brushes for various craft uses, ie I have a lot of eyeshadow brushes which have come with sets over the years I use sometimes with watercolours and also for applying glue.

Hi, I don't know if you ever found what you were looking for, or even if what I'm thinking of is what you're thinking of, but perhaps these might do?

Hi Soopy. It's fine to put links like this in. The only links not allowed here are to other forums or sites that have a forum.

I do worry about things like that

You're a little star Soopy :) Those look exactly like the ones Glenda uses. I hadn't got round to ordering the small ones from JS (even though idiot here has just placed an order with her - D'oh! )

Glad to be of service Wellington :)
I thought these might be what you meant, they were fresh (ish) in my mind as I'd bought a couple from the Stamp Addicts stand at Ally Pally in September. Haven't used mine yet though...

Glad this thread re-sufaced - I bought a couple of paint brushes from this site after the link was posted by Gemcrazynan and I am well chuffed with them! Very reasonable prices and by far and away the best paint brushes I have ever used!

I may go back there too - I'd quite like a decent paint brush too. I have a Koi Waterbrush, but sometimes you just don't want an almost constant flow of water :D I'm not sure what brush I'm supposed to buy though! Will have browse later

No 2 or No 3 round should do you Welly, and a No 10 Flat if you want to paint onto your stamps. I got the red sable, but since I ordered the web site has changed and I can't find the specific brushes.
