I bought this kit in our local Range today for £16.99!!! What has happened to QVCs buying power????:eek:

They don't have the buying power they claim

They just bend the truth to fit their needs.

If I had my way they would be force to give the prices included P&P rather than hiding the cost in a small font. There is no way of avoiding P&P on QVC - so why should they be allowed to quote prices that are not a true and fair representation of what you will actually have to cough up.

All too often I have seen a price on QVC and done about 30 seconds of research online and found that by the time you add the P&P, the item is available cheaper elsewhere (even including P&P)

I guess I just hate not being told the truth

The odd thing about those pink and teal kits which docrafts sell for £16.99 is that when they showed them on qvc I could have sworn that the box had the big sticker on them that shows that price.
The camera quickly panned away from that shot though so it was only a fleeting glimpse for me but I was fairly sure of what I saw as I'd seen them in a craft shop that day.

I found the same when they were flogging the monochrome kit in the same design as the pink and teal kits.

I got mine for £12.99 and no PnP, just by shopping around.

I often feel that QVC are over the top pricewise and as stated above, by the time you factor in the PnP, which they NEVER do on air, then you are often paying way over the odds for something.

The only times I buy from them nowadays, is if I have researched and KNOW I cannot get the item cheaper elsewhere, QVC are currently the only stockist I can find and its a must have purchase, or if I am not too sure I will actually like it because I can return it if I find I don't.

I find myself screaming at the TV that card is not 35p a sheet when you add in Six quids worth of postage it's more like 80p (or whatever) and actually much more than you can buy it for in your famously overpriced local craft shop.

Qvc tend to do this with most docraft items,i.e the dog or cat boxed kit was more expensive on qvc than in a docraft stockist shop....I work in a shop that stocks mostly docraft items and before I buy any item I always add on the p&p but still find that its cheaper to buy instore!!!

Another tip with Do Crafts products is to keep an eye on their website for Sale items - I got loads of stuff this past few months for an absolute steal!

Thing about Do-Crafts - it's meant to be a full range of products that are at reasonable prices for everyone, not in the K&Co range.

I have never bought Do-Crafts items at full price - you just have to wait until the season ends, I see some of their items as staple and actually they have raised their game recently with their new ranges and designers.

We all must own X-Cut, Anita's and Papermania items - they IMHO are very important to the UK craft market.
