I keep being logged out

I know there have been problems with the website and Graham, Liam and Daniel put in loads of man hours to put this right. Ever since the new resurrected site went live, I have found that I keeping finding myself logged out. Am I the only one, or is this happening to loads of other people? I am wondering whether its my ISP or that fact I come through Avant or what.

Some of us have always had to live with this..... I think it's just the way the forum works for everyone now..... it's to do with idle time......unless you are being logged out within moments of your last actions or during an action such as posting.

However if you are only being logged out when you have left the forum window open for a while and gone off to do other stuff such as read your e-mails or visit another web site or simpy walked away from your computer for a bit then you are in "idle" mode as far as the forum is concerned and the clock starts ticking..... I think you have somewhere between 20 to 30 mins of idle time...... Graham would be the one to tell us how long we can sit idle for before being logged out by the forum. And btw.. it saves resourses to log us out if we ain't using it.

20 to 30 minutes, you must be joking, its been two or three minutes at most.

Then you do have a bug, either with your connection or the forum has one. However in the past it seemed many were able to log in once and remain logged on all day so long as they did not turn off their computer - whereas I have always found myself logged out when the idle time expired.

I keep having to log-in too :( very boring! even ticking 'remember me' it doesn't grrrrrr

Anyway, I'm just glad the forum is back, so I'll put up with it :D

I had this problem until today...got logged out during reading a thread and EVERY TIME I tried to post, sometimes had to log back on tweo or three times before it "took" and I could post which is whY I haven't been here so much. Happily today (touching wood) it seems to be sorted!
