Before the forum went down there was a thread about Joanna Sheen and a CD. I was wondering if someone can tell me which CD it was please?

Hi Pam, it was the Jayne Netley Mayhew Collection 2 Disk Set - absolutely gorgeous animal images! I've bought my first ever Joanne Sheen CD as a result (quickly followed by the Fashion Boutique on extravaganza the following evening):)!

Thanks Andrea, I think I read on st it was animals and it confused me completely(not very hard to do) as she already has an animal one.
I love the Fashion Boutique, hope you do too.

My CD went on 'Back Order' for a couple of days & I had nowhere to moan about it :D But apparently it shipped this morning

I was thinking of you Dips when I saw the Boutique CD on Extravaganza :)

I'm quite excited by all this. I've always avoided CDs in the past (I'm repeating myself, but I can't remember whether I said this on here before it went bang or on ST), I think because I work so much on a PC at work, that I like my crafting to take me away from it all. However, the animal images on Sunday were absolutely stunning, I thought that they would make great men's cards (without being cliched "mens" items) and it just looked so versatile. Then, when Fashion Boutique was £22.50, it would have been rude not to buy it, and I wouldn't want to be bad mannered:D!

I was very tempted with the new cd and thought of mens cards without the usual themes.

When anyone receives it could they let us know if it is as good as it looks.

Thanks

Will do, Susan! I also liked that the backing papers weren't just tiles of images, I have to say that the thing I find least appealing about CDs is those very fussy backing papers. However, I've bought this CD for the big images, if the backing papers are to my taste then that's a bonus, but if not, it won't stop my enjoyment of the other images.

It has Lima's behinds on it :D

I know Dennice was being a bit of a pain on Sunday, but I'm with her, I rather liked that pic. & the sample card that had been made with it...

What really swung it for me was all the other twiddly bits on it, like the bookmarks. And I was impressed by some of the backing papers - anyone catch the elephant hide one? Lovely & unusual

I saw the CD on C&C on Sunday and absolutely loved it, but decided to wait as I couldn't really afford it, I lasted until Monday evening and ordered it from Joanna's site, hopefully it will arrive tomorrow then all I've got to do is find some more money for some extra ink for the printer.

SUPERCOOLWILLOW
25-06-2008, 10:13 PM
thats the thing with cd's is the ink

Shepherdess
25-06-2008, 10:23 PM
I don't find they use that much ink, the trouble is when I get a new CD, I see so many papers I want and go mad printing out loads, I always use the compatible cartridges so they don't cost that much, the trouble is I've just bought a new printer so haven't yet got round to buying any spare ink. My printers always seem to die on me when I've still got loads of cartridges left and I can guarantee they won't fit the next printer I buy, so I always end up with loads of useless cartridges, I keep saying I'm going to put them on ebay but never seem to get round to doing it.

I bought my last carts from a company called Prink.co.uk. They are compatible and really cheap. My printer takes seven different carts and if I bought the proper ones they are £70 a set. These ones were about £12.95 a set, and are fine for using on cards.
I have ordered the Joanna Sheen CD as well. I love her CDs. I have the Japanese and Egyptian ones as well.

Apparently we now have a fully functioning printer, so when it gets here I can play with my new CD :D In the meantime, now you mention it Matilda, I feel a JS Egyptian CD tinkering sesh coming on...plus maybe a dash of Artylicious :) :) :)

Have to agree to disagree with you there, Welly, I thought she was a disgrace. Not over her initially laughing about the Lima's bums, but the way that she kept on interupting JS whilst she was demonstrating. Personally, I had absolutely zero interest in watching Dennise try to find the picture of Lima's bums on the in studio computer. On the other hand, I did have a great deal of interest in watching what Joanna could do with the images from her CD in the excellent demonstrations that she always brings with her. However, I was thwarted in this wish as that stupid Dennise woman was constantly interupting her with "look at me on the computer" and, "oh, you're just removing the backing from double sided tape" - how extraordinarily rude. We watch the craft shows to hopefully see someone with real talent demonstrating new ideas, not some puffed-up nobody crying out for attention!

Do you get the feeling that this wound me up a tad :D?

I know she was a pest over the demos & most of the other things she was playing at - but I definitely like the image :D

Dips, did you borrow my <i>"Dis-Enchanted Telly Craft Channel Shopper's Book of Scathing Sayings"</i>?

And if so, may I have it back please before technique week starts on QVC as I suspect I am going to need to do some revision before posting :D
