I had an email from crafters companion last week saying that the offer is the cute companions collection and cd not the christmas set though
I got the christmas cd its ok but nothing great not a lot on it for the price I feel compared to other makes, and the colours are a bit wishy washy on the backing papers and letters but thats just my opinion:D

I have just received another email from crafters companion, its their Birthday and every thing on their site is free p&p this week, not sure if thats for anyone or just members, but its free to sign up,they are launching the ultimate pro with bonus cd, I would suspect that the prices will be the same as whats on ideal world or maybe a little cheaper, but you can a least order anything not just the 4 day deal with free p&p from them

I'm quite taken with the Rob Addams Roses CD - they keep having the shows on but to my knowledge it's not actually been on the site (let alone in stock) for at least a couple of months

Ta for info LJ - I think they did this last year for their birthday too. I've never ordered directly from CC, but I've had my eye on a couple of bits n' bobs on the site for a little while...may have to pay a visit :D

Am I the only one who is dissapointed at another ultimate ? I like Crafters companion and I know its a business that has to come up with new products to survive ,but I cant keep buying new things to replace part of an old thing I've already got .
I bought the original wooden board from Sarah then bought the new pastic ones .I then splashed out on the original ultimate when it was I think £25. Even this was then updated to have a clear inside and a CD holder space. Now this new one does 7 more things than my old one :( I cant jusitfy upgrading again . Its worse than buying a new PC as soon as you buy it its out of date :( What do you do with the old one ? Even if you sell it youve lost loads of money ,even more like PCs

sorry for the moan must have woken up in a baaaaaaaad mood today :(

I quite liked the look of the new Ultimate, but I really can't justify buying it to replace the original which still does it's job perfectly well - apart from the trimmer...

Maisie*Daisy, I do have to agree with you 100%. What's the point in calling a product The Ultimate and then replacing it 6 months later with a slightly better version, to my mind, that's an oxymoron. I am far from convinced about any of these score boards (not just CC's) - I have to do a lot of accurate scoring, and find I only really get accurate and true scoring by measuring and using a metal rule.

:D

You can actually buy the Roses CD from Rob Addams' own site - £15.95 with p&p included. He's based in Spain, but my Medieval CD came from somewhere in the south of England.

Ordering direct form CC delivery is average not as quick as say Joanna Sheen but better than Create and Craft.

I bought the ultimate pro after much deliberation. I already had the enveloper pro and the other board with the different card sizes and box maker(forgot name!) I have managed to sell them to my friend so gone to a good home.
My parcel arrived really quickly too.

Would you believe I had a brainstorm today & decided to check if the Roses CD was in stock on the C&C site...and there it was... Not to worry cos a) I'm out of ink ATM...& b) I'm sure there'll be another free p&p event along soon!
