I really fancy one of the Cuttlebug Storage Binders but really can't warrant £20-25 just a a bag to store my various dies in. How does everyone else store theirs. I currently have them all in a carrier bag shoved in a cupboard but it puts me off using them as I can't easily flip through them to see what I want to use.

Any advice/guidance would be brilliant.

Thanks

I've got my Nesties and Mariannes on Rich's magnetic sheets in a ring binder and the few small Cuttlebug dies I've got are in a small RUB.

I don't have a lot of dies or embossing folders so far, so I tend to er, shove 'em in my bug's box :cheeky:

I keep mine in an A5 binder in poly pockets - nesties on the magnetic sheets and the embossing folders just slipped in the pockets

I keep them on the origianal cards they came on (replace original tape strip with photo tape) & store them in clear pocketed top loading 7x5 photo albums that I got for a quid each from Jessop's!
(Nestie cards protrude slightly over the top but Nellie Snellen ones go right in!)
Seems to work quite well & I can flick through the album quickly & easily! Cheap as chips & can be stored upright on a shelf!

I have mine in an A4 binder with poly pockets and drop in the Spellbinders on the magnetic sheets (cut to size). I put two in each pocket, back to back, and it works very well. the only caveat is to make sure you don't turn the binder upside down!

For my Sizzlits dies, I use a ring binder with strong polypockets that are divided into sections and they just slot in - I can't think of the specific name that you could search on, but they come in various sizes. I put a die cut in with the die, which makes it easy to see what's what at a glance.

Nesties are stored on magnetic sheets (bought from Rich) in a shallowish RUB. My cuttlebug dies are stored in the "official" cuttlebug storage folder that takes storage sheets of different sizes (bought from Craftsuperstore). Larger Cuttlebug folders (won't fit in the storage folder) are also in an RUB. Metal stencils and masks again RUB.In each case samples are made and stored in the front of the folder or in the top of the box.

Sounds horribly complicated but I can usually find what I am looking for quickly.

All the embossing folders and die cuts are in a (large) RUB, then I have some magnetic double sided tape that I put in empty CD boxes and put the nesties in there with the picture cut down and slide in the cover. I have only just discovered nesties and that is all your fault ladies! Thought I would give them a try after reading about them here and now I'm hooked!

Thanks everyone for your help. I think I will go with the various options of some sort of A4 or A5 folder rather than spend all that money on a storage binder, the cost alone could be spent on more dies.

Thanks again

I keep my embossing folders in a card index box, suitably "altered" to look pretty. Nesties are in the creata magnetic folders which aren't cheap but which I think are even better than the magnetic sheets.

These are the best storage and they are such a good price

~Certainly not the cheapest option though is it. The sheets Rich does are perfect if you team them up with cd wallets. Each nestie shape (apart from the new GC ones of course) almost completely slips into a cd wallet, and once stuck on the magnetic sheet they are safe as houses at a mere fraction of the price of those creata things.
