I watched Nancy today making flowers ans decided to have a go, I used the stamp from this months craft stamper and some BO BUNNY double dots yellow card, then I made some from lemon vellum and added glitter, I'm quite chuffed how they turned out, next time I'll cut the flowers on the cricut to save time, I'm thinking of using them to make a framed scrapbook page for my mum for mothers day.

Those are really great Angela and I can see using the Cricut would be a great help in the cutting. I have made roses I am really happy with from the Sizix Flower layers no. 5 and I wondered if anyone knew of other dies to make other shapes of flowers. There are some interesting videos about shaping petals, etc., at http://www.imag-e-nation.com/categories/Decoupage/Build-a-Blossom/ which anyone who has got the flower bug may be interested in.

They are beautiful Angie, can you describe how to make them? I'd love to try. Coincidentally, Nancy's repeat is on now so busy writing it down!

WOWSERS Angie, these are absolutely stunning. My home made efforts always end up looking exactly that, home made, but these are really gorgeous.

They are gorgeous Angela. I've got some flower templates from a HOTP and DoCrafts sets and I was thinking about trying those, especially after Nancy had made a few and kept them in a bag. I could cut them out and even glue them while watching TV.

awww thanks very much, mine were made slightly differnt to nancy's as hers was an 8 petal flower and mine was a 6, I'll try and explain.
I used double sided cardstock for some and vellum for the others.
1. I stamped 3 flowers using the free stamp from craft stamper.
2. Cut 1 petal shape away from 2 of the flowers and then 2 petal from the other one.
3. Glue one petal on to another petal with dries clear glue on 2 of the flower, repeat on the 3rd flower. snip the bottoms of, then form the petals.
4. the 2 and 1 petal that you had cut out, need to be rolled to form the centre so that the 1 petal will go into the 2 petal.
5. when assemble go round the edges with a zig glue pen and dip in glitter.
I don't know if this makes sense but there is a pdf tutorial for similar flowers on sue wilsons blog, I'll go see if I can find it.

Here is the link, her flower hasn't got long petals if you get my drift but the basic tecnique is the same for most flowers
