I hope I am putting this in the right place and that I'm doing it properly. This is my first attempt to put a picture of anything on the forum.
I have been greatly encouraged in my interest in faithbooking by Paul and Jane at WowFactor (thanks guys!) and here is the first page I made. I think I have a long way to go but you have to start somewhere, so I'm throwing it on everyone's mercy. Hope you like it.

Well, you're way ahead of me with your faithbooking over my scrapbooking Lady K because you've actually made a page......! LOL
Green is my favourite colour (very uplifting!) & I like the verse, a good place to start & most apt when you're just starting out with something, be it a big or a small thing! :sun:
Enjoy making your next page, look forward to seeing it! x

Right so THIS is faithbooking! Makes sense to me now. Didn't quite 'get it' when I read the thread a few days ago!
So is it scrapbook pages (only faithbook pages on this occasion!) with scripture verses on? If you understand what I mean!

Liking the music background too!

You posted the picture brilliantly! Loving the colour tones. Your own flowers?

So did you do the wording LK? I like calligraphy - hmmmmm..........interesting!
Is there a site where I can view some pages?
I did google it when the thread went up but didn't quite see anything like that.....seemed to me more social sites!
Nothing crafty at all! LOL

I did post an answer already but it disappeared. I wonder what happened to it. If it turns up, then apologies for repetition. Just wanted to say that I first found a site called Scrapbooking Ideas, it's a wordpress blog, and she has a whole faithbooking section, Juliet. I think most of them are digi, but they are 'proper' faithbooking, so give a good idea about what to do.
And thank you for your kind words about my page. I did the verse on my laptop because my writing is awful. It's amazing what a bit of Distress Ink on a make-up sponge will do! And I made the flowers as well. 1 1/2" circles (2 per flower), screwed up and then sprayed with Cosmic Shimmer Mist. And jewel brads to finish.

Not for me I'm afraid, but then being a pagan it wouldn't be. That's not to say I have no faith, just not what the christian world would term faith

Loobs, faith booking is much wider than christianity or the bible.

Dear All

Faithbooking need not depend upon any religion be it Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Hinduism or even Pagan nor does it necessarily mean that the author has to be religious.
Faithbooking as opposed to Scrapbooking gives the author the ability to focus on a particular person or event where circumstances transcend the norm.
For instance a miraculous event where a child suffering from meningitis and against all odds making a recovery, or sadly recording the life of terminally ill relative in the knowledge that their suffering will soon end.
In short Scrapbooking records ‘normal’ life where Faithbooking records the extraordinary and helps the author come to terms with deep emotions.

This is my own understanding of what Faithbooking means and whilst being a non believer in anything that comes under the heading of religion I can fully understand and appreciate the cathartic gain.

Still not for me I'm afraid. But hey if it gives someone else pleasure, be it the maker or someone appreciating the finished art, who am I to pooh pooh it.
